After being a customer of La Esperanza for 35 years, I was hesitant to order from the to go location. I was however directed here via a recording when I tried to place a to go order from the original restaurant. Figured it must be a spin off and ordered. I was quite impressed. Hard for me to say it was even better as I have always loved the restaurant. The food was the same but better in that it was perfectly prepared. Attention to detail I would say. The chili rellenos were not drowned in sauce as they ate in the restaurant. It either allowed the flavor of the peppers to shine through or they were roasted just perfectly. I would go so far as to say, they were the best rellenos I've ever eaten. The beans were even really good. The rice was exactly the same. Probably the portion size was smaller because La Esperanza really loads down their plates. But the size was just right. They were picture perfect and the flavor was amazing.
