Big John's Diner is the awesome diner you hope to find, but rarely do. Family run, great atmosphere, and the most important, great food! My husband and I have gone in for breakfast and the team take great pains to make the food the way you like it. Hint: I was not a pancake person, but I am now! They make great, fresh, pancakes! Love the home fries, biscuits and gravy...everything! And the servings are generous and the food is fresh. The plates with other patron's food also look wonderful and well made. I went on a busy Saturday morning. Although the place was packed, the staff seemed very calm and collected. I sat at the bar seats near the kitchen. Normally when you sit here, you are likely to hear too much at other restaurants like staff bitching and bickering. That was not the case here. It seemed like one big family. A fellow whom I assume was big John was jovially wondering around chatting and helping run food to tables. My husband and I came in for a nice breakfast together and we're extremely disappointed. We ordered our food and waited an extremely long time. We were given half our order and was able to finish it and still did not have the other part of our meal to eat together. Not once was offered a drink refill . When we cashed out abruptly with the whole other meal sitting at the table there was no mention of trying to rectify the situation. Would not recommend, would rather eat...
