Concord Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Ohio

We have gone a couple times. The food is usually good, that's why we go back. Poor service, rude hostess. We showed up at around 115. The hostess said are you eating the buffet, we said no. Very rudely she said we close at one. She went to seat us, she took us to dirty tables. Then she took us to a both, it had food on the seat, and the table was half dirty. I didn't want to say anything else. All the floors were dirty, food every where. I had to kick a grape out of my way. Carpet needs a cleaning.our server was rude.Three servers were eating at the counter. Our server was one of them. We needed refills, as our server sat down and ate. One server was eating touching her hair.finally we got our food. I ordered onion rings and I got fries. Again I don't want to say anything.she was to worried about feeding herself to give good service. The owner saw these servers sitting down eating, and he had to see the dirty tables and floors.6 tables came in after us. So it wasn't like the servers really had time to sit down.i have managed restaurants, no server would have been there at the counter sitting and eating, much less 3 of them. You wait until your shift is over or you eat in the back.oh then I was charged for the onion rings 189, but never got them. I pointed it out to the host and someone else who was up there. Never said sorry, the more less didn't care. the server finally came back to our table and dropped of the check. Didn't ask if we needed anything else, and didn't take away the dirty plates. only good thing was the food, and they were not able to get that right. I don't know if I will ever go back. My parents and I used to rave about this place. It also used to be packed with a wait time. We'd try to go once a week and about four months ago everything began to fall apart. They'd be out of soup, they'd be out of various menu items, etc. We took a break from it, and tried it again months later.

Today... they were out of pinto beans, and it was just another excuse of, "we don't get orders on Monday." Last time they were out of things, it was, "The owner forgot to place an order big enough." Either way, the soup tasted great and then I went to the salad bar. The romaine looked fresh enough but some of the lettuce looked rotted, I just skipped over those pieces, it happens. I got back to my table and took a bite of the salad and felt something gritty in my mouth. I thought for a second to recount if I'd added any topping that would make that feeling, until it dawned on me that it was dirt.

I pulled the salad out of my mouth and a huge clump of dirt was on it and now in my teeth I gargled with water and tried to get it out, but even now as I write this I am finding vestiges of it. It cut my tongue and made me feel ill. All the waitress could say was, "Oh... uh, sorry..."

We won't be going back here again. Clearly, this seems to be a problem since what used to be a restaurant that was packed with people now only has several there. It was empty, and this was around 5:46pm. It's really unfortunate, I hope they can figure out how to restore this place to what it was since it was a very good...

I saw you guys on Facebook many times. Finally decided to try you out. I was excited for the Mexican bar you had. It looked and tasted great. And no one around here does a Mexican buffet bar so it was a nice change! Your menu looks wonderful and I will be back to try it! But what I was extremely impressed by were your soups. I'm a sous chef and make soups daily. I'm highly judgemental of these things and I enjoyed them! I had to go back and try all 3!!! Whoever makes your soups does a wonderful job. I could tell they were homemade! What a nice change! I will be back. And I will bring family and friends every time lol. This may be a monthly thing. I'd come more but we drove a hour to get there to try it. We live in ellet!

Added: came for breakfast. Finally able to come! What a lovely set up and so good! It's nice to see fresh fruit on the bar and not bought in precut! So juicy and fresh! You guys did it again! All that you are doing, don't change it...bc it works! People come to what is good and you all are so busy! That speaks volumes! I brought back 3 guest, who will end up being guest of their own....and so forth. Work of mouth is the best advertisement you could possibly get and it's free! Keep up the good work. I will be back. So tired of going out to eat and being left disappointed. I drive a long ways to get here and it's worth the drive. I don't mind paying for it if it's good! And...
