P & P New York Style Pizza (Mentor) — Restaurant in Ohio

This Pizzeria is litterly NEW YORK STYLE PIZZA!!! Being a New Yorker myself it's the NY Pizza I've been looking for! There is no other pizzeria that compares to this place. It's litterly a New York recipe. My husband found them one day. With him being a Brooklyner he's a NY pizza man. So he stopped in there one day to grab a bite to eat. He saw the sign New York Pizza, so he figured well he'd give it a chance. Now if your from New York then you'll know that it is popular to order a slice of pizza and a can of soda. That's the lunch combo. So my husband all excited to try this awesome looking pizza. Did the check over n did his check list! The pizza was perfect looking but now the real test was is it gonna taste like NY Pizza.? He told me it was literally the best NY Pizza he's had in Ohio. We've tried other places that say NY Pizza, I don't think so! P&P Pizza is the greats Pizza ever! Takes me back to living in NY and getting what you know is NYPizza. Yesterday I visited P&P for the first time. I ordered a large Sicilian pizza 🍕 with pepperoni. It was VERY good. I've lived in NEO for 14 years and it's hard to find good Sicilian pizza. I've had good Sicilian pizza in NYC and in my original hometown near Philadelphia, which has some of the best NY style Sicilian pizza. It was a real treat to have such a great tasting Sicilian pizza in NEO. I'll definitely be back soon to try their round thin NY style pizza.

The service was also good. The workers/owners were very friendly. I had ordered a Pepsi with my meal and the lady gave me a cup with ice. I know this may sound insignificant but it very nice gesture... and much appreciated.

I would highly recommend you try out this restaurant if you're hungry for some great...

Update: l had P&P again at a lunch event and the traditional pie was significantly better than the sheet pizza I had previously.

The crust is very true to NY style, and the ratio of sauce/toppings to dough was perfect— I didn’t need the additional side sauce that the owners offered.

It’s one of the few places in the Mentor area to get sheet pizza from, but the dough on the sheet pizza is much thicker than expected compared to NY style.

From my previous review I wanted to reiterate that the salad was very good— full of toppings and a generous side of dressing. The staff is also very friendly, and the restaurant is clean.

I may not get the sheet pizza again, but the traditional pies and salads are easily 5...
