Poor experience. Left there very disappointed and unsatisfied. We called ahead for a wait time and a table for 6. Was told no wait , table would be ready and gave them an ETA. Checked in with the hostess around 7:20pm. Told us to have a seat in the lobby where we waited about 15minutes. Once at the table we waited and waited. Finally a server took drink orders and we ordered an appetizer. Maybe about a half hour later appetizer arrived after asking about it. All the while watching tables where people were seated after us but getting orders before us. My daughter who ordered wine finally got that and server apologize for forgetting it. Long half hour wait again and salads arrivedā¦all but one. after waiting for her to bring that for ? Minutes I had to go look for server to get it. She had forgotten. Server did not check on our table and would not look in the direction when we tried to ask for more drinks etc. itās now about 8:30 and so my husband went to find a manager and he probably wasnāt very nice. She came to the table and was going to see why it was dragging out. Food arrived immediately after this. My food was cold. No condiments for any thing. Had to ask for ketchup, butter and sour cream for potatoes ( which she forgot and we had to ask again). And the worst thing was the rotten tomato that was on my grandsons Burger. Heās 12. They offered him another but he was over it and didnāt eat. Itās beyond me why a cook would use a slice of tomato with a black spot the size of a dime on it. Manager agreed that was just wrong and gave a speel about server being overwhelmied and in training and she turned her orders in at a reasonable time according to her tickets. But she didnāt take into consideration how long waits were from the time we sat down. Food service is not new to me. Iāve worked it. Been there done that. But if she was struggling where was her support staff. If I trained , I helped them out, not let them sink . I am in my 60ās and Iāve never complained at a restaurant before this. We are not loud obnoxious people, we were patient and courteous until it was just enough. The management gave us a discount on meal . Probably so weād leave a tip ( which we did). Live and learn. Wonāt go back to establishment nor...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI do not enjoy leaving a one star. Itās Monday, I phoned for a lasagna carry out(I wouldāve ordered the ribeye as well, but this woman was rude) and when I asked her which day of the week it was made she responded āI donāt know what they do in the kitchen, you either order it or you donāt.ā I feel as though she knew the day and it may have been last Tuesday. There were three cars in the parking lot! It was so old when I opened it, dry with a disturbing unique aroma, I realized I should have listened to my instincts, but it is in the middle of the Midwest and these people are uneducated, without culture, travel or fine dining experience. Yes, itās a low budget run-of-the-mill establishment- locally owned for the blue collar and subpar. I say those words kindly because I am in a very good mood. I have never been spoken to in that manner in any establishment in my life. I am visiting family and itās a good thing tomorrow is garbage day and thatās exactly where your food has gone. I have half a notion to reach out to the health department. Iām nauseous, supposedly there is prosciutto in your meat sauce and I cannot imagine had it sat in your cooler for six, seven or eight days the amount of bacteria that couldāve been it in. This woman was of hideous and lackluster character. I wouldāve rather had a hotdog from Speedway. GROSS! Uncouth, ill mannered and your food was expired and inedible. It is utterly unacceptable. The mannerisms of your employee and her inability to be transparent and provide information pertaining to the food you serve is disturbing. One should be cautious when they answer the phone working with the public because you never know who is on the other line. TRULY DISGUSTED and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNever been here before so my first time was a bit awkward. Outside of the building doesn't look much, when the wife and i drove in we didn't even know this place was open. my second issue was we could clearly tell we were outsiders by the staff / locals staring at us as we ate kind of made us a bit uncomfortable. Our waitress was bright and bubbly and amazing so it did take our focus off it for a bit.
so wondering in for a quick look I realized this place may not have curb appeal but the interior was decently interesting for an American local hotspot. if you know anything about my hometown its said otherwise.
Everything we ordered looked handmade! which was exquisite enough, wife ordered a spaghetti chicken dinner and I ordered a burger wih a Mozilla stick appetizer. everything was good portion to price range and we enjoyed every bit of it. the Mozilla sticks WERE HUGE, with there own breading and it was amazing!
I'm giving this place 4 stars on the following reasons. great food and staff Curb appeal lacking! i wasn't even sure if this was the place or not showing up. awkward stairs from the locals.
However this, it was great experience i would recommend...
