Seems like deny,s went through a major change, not for the best.I will say,we had the nicest server i ever had,she was great.but the food was awful.they changed the menu, but the food you get looks nothing like what you receive, they got new smaller dishes so they can put less food and make it look like more.its not more, and the new food is barely eatable, infact i took 6 bites of my what was suppose to be sirloin medium cooked, and i had to cover the rest with napkins cause i could not eat it,even loaded it down with A-1 and ketchup, still couldn't eat.it was not medium rare,it was well done,ok,that's fine, but no flavor, tasted like it was frozen and heated up in the microwave, not freshly cooked, bad bad food.my moms turkey sandwich which i seen her order many times did not look like real meat.I'm telling you,it look like some kinda processed meat that been sitting around for days and slapped on some toast.had it not been for the very wonderful server,i would sent the food back and left.i really hate to say all this, cause until recent,i loved eating at deny,s,all the original servers are gone, don't no any of the new, cooks and washers play loud rap music while your trying to eat, felt more like i was at a club then a restaurant.but all that's fine, but i never expect this from deny,s.the time before this the openly gay man or women, honestly didn't no for sure was so rude to us,would not give us time to look at menu, kept bugging us 5 times before we finally had to order just to get him away.he or she was loud and very pushy.finally, took the order and brings me cold food, burnt eggs and toast, hashbrowns were so over cooked, could not even eat, sent it back very nicely, loud waiter tells the chef i am a sissy and couldn't decide how i wanted my new eggs made, don't know if he thought i was deaf, but i could clearly here him making fun.this had never happen, until then and today,i have never had such a bad experience eating out.i have ate in very small new jersey diners that had better tasting and cooked food, but difference, you kind expected it not too be good.im sorry,i loved denys for many years.but it appears new management took over and fired all old staff and hired new very annoying loud gay men that let you know they are gay and proud,be proud, but not where i eat,and just because the gov and some fake news channels give you attn and gay rights, don't mean you own the world now and you don't need to shove that in my face.if your going to work in public and you are or want to be a man, then please speak to your customers like a man, cause when you're deciding what to eat and a person looks like a man speaking very rudely and annoying to me like a women, but somehow sound like a feminine man,it not only ruins your clientele appetite it makes them not want to return, and deny,s,if your gonna hire white kitchen help that think they are black and want to sing to the foul mouth rap music with kids present, you may want to give them each a set of head phones and ask them to present themselves as cooks, not foul mouth rappers.I repeat, denys, you need to change everything, dishes, cooks, food and all staff except the 1 wonderful waitress ,or fire whom ever idea it was to change everything that made denys great, cause I'm not only embarrassed to come back,i couldn't deal with the staff and I'll never eat that cheap processed food again,I'm actually sick from what i did eat.but over the last 10 years I've told so many people how great and good priced the food is with wonderful service, and now ill be called a liar if any of them do take their family there.remember, good real cooked food by a chef that loves his work and doesn't care about hip hop dancing and foul mouth music while he prepares the orders, maybe a chef that cares enough to prepare your order the way you ask,id think about changing my review and returning as a steady customer that proudly promotes...

I will probably NEVER return to this Dennys location again 7-15-16. If I could give a 1/2 star I would because the place was clean and remodeled, but I normally will not put a name of and employee either great or horrible.
Nevertheless, Erin is HORRIBLE AT HER JOB AS A SERVER!!!
Got to the table and never said her name, did not have on a name tag( I only know her name because it was on the receipt,) and said " you guys know what you're having?" No introduction at all, but the time for her to come to tge table was fine about 5-7 mins at about 10:20 pm. The order was for sausage biscuit, very soft scrambled eggs and crispy hashbrowns. the server acted as if this order was foreign to her, so I don't know what she wrote on the order slip but, The food came with hard scrambled eggs and soft hashbrowns that were sitting in a pool if oil, I immediately asked for a different order of hashbrowns crispy with less oil, the server rolled her eyes and went to the kitchen and yelled "I need a reorder on the hashbrowns" (there must have been some conversation from the cook that I couldn't hear because the next thing I hear her say is "I don't know, he said no oil." Server then comes out into the prep station where they refill drinks and and get items ang proceeds to discuss my order with another server. AGAIN THE SERVER IS HORRIBLE AT HER JOB!!! She brings the reorder and says " they said this is any crispy as they can get with no oil."
Before she leaves the table I ask for the check, I did eat the biscuit covered in sausage gravy 2 bites of the hard eggs, remember that my order was for very soft scrambled eggs and a cup of tea.
Now she did take 1.50 off the bill that I didn't ask for maybe she seen basically all that I ordered still on the table and felt bad.
I was cashed out & in my truck by 10:47pm
She needs some additional training or to consider a employment change!
UPDATE!!!! I tried this location again only because of the NEW PANCAKES... Fathers Day so it was busy at 8:50am, the wait was not bad and the people there was nice so this time was much better, but I WILL STICK to the older more run-down BELMONT LOCATION, The Food Is Better & The Staff is NICER. (in my...
Read moreFour long years of waiting for the Austintown Dennys reopening - upon a arrival we were greeted warmly by the hostess - when asked about the wait time - we were told 15 minutes - which took about 4 minutes which was great until we were seated at table #50 which was soaking wet! We would have gladly waited for a dry table! But the one of the managers walked by and we asked him to dry it which he did promptly.
Our waitress was Jill B - she was in a very busy section which is both a good thing and a bad thing. Meaning a manager checked on us more than she did. We also understood that it was in fact the opening so delays are expected to an extent -
Good things: it was very clean. The food was hot when it finally arrived. I would give my order: Moon my Hammy a 9/10. My spouses 55 breakfast - 5/10 -it "wasn't bad and it wasn't good". The bads: Table # 50 is more of a single table not a table for a couple -if we had more than coffee to drink there's not enough room - the coffee was very good.
The hostess needs to be aware that is not the size table to put anyone with any type of walking aid - ie: canes, etc. Another couple was seated at the same size table - he had a cane and she had an oversized purse- I doubt that they were comfortable. (By then there was plenty of room available for seating).
I went to the front do get change and they didn't have a key to open the drawer - but they got a key. When our food was delivered it was delivered not by our waitress but by another wait staff member -who unfortunately didn't know where table #50 was evidently because he walked around the entire section before he found us! This really annoyed me - I don't like my food walked around before being served but thankfully it was hot!
I left a generous tip - although I should have maybe left less - overall I would rate it a low 7 -
Overall it was an ok...
