I purchased a 2019 Ram 2500 from this dealership (formerly Fred Martin, now #1 Cochran) close to a year ago, and my experience since then has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.
Since buying the truck, it has been in their service department five times: • Two times for oil pan gasket leaks. • One time for a timing cover crack. • One time for a fuel pressure regulator replacement. • One time for a potential oil leak they claimed was the fuel filter housing — after which they referred me to a diesel shop or a Dodge flagship dealer.
I then took my truck to McCandless Ford, where I’ve had multiple vehicles serviced with zero issues. After a full inspection, they found several serious problems, including: • The fuel pressure regulator replaced by #1 Cochran is still leaking. • A motor mount is about 80% broken — and #1 Cochran is the only shop that’s done significant engine work on this truck since I’ve owned it. • The wiring harness was not properly reconnected or locked into place. • The air intake tube was left open and disconnected. • A metal wire was used to hold wiring components in place instead of replacing them with proper OEM parts.
To make matters worse, although I’ve owned this truck for just over a year, it has spent nearly five months total in their service bay.
This entire experience has been extremely disappointing. The repeated issues, poor workmanship, and the fact that another shop immediately identified multiple problems missed or caused by their service department make me seriously question their quality standards and attention to detail.
I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing a vehicle here or using their service department — my experience shows a clear pattern of unresolved issues, incomplete repairs, and a lack of...

The only open mechanic or dealership within limping distance was the service team at Fred Martin Ford. They talked us through navigating the trek to their location, and got us fixed and on our way all within an hour. Even though it would have been more convenient for their team to wait until the next business day to get our vehicle road-ready, they worked 3 service techs (plus the manager) leading up to their closing time to serve our family. Our Thanksgiving vacation could have started out in disaster, but instead we only lost a total of 1.5 hours from incident to fixed-and-on-the-road-again. Some angels...
