I have gotten the biscuits and gravy here, for about 3 decades, now. They are not the same as when we first started going there every Friday night, after we would leave the race track and get something to eat. But, they are still good. Just that the gravy isn't as thick as it used to be. That's why I gave a 4 star, instead of the 5 star.(If they would thicken that gravy, then it would get the 5-star) Now, the biscuit's & gravy, isn't the only thing I have gotten from there. I tend to get 2 extra egg's, with the biscuit's & gravy, along with the fried mushroom's(Usually a double, so I can take some home with me and eat them the next day, along with the 2nd order of the biscuit's & gravy with 2 egg's. Yes, I have literally ordered for the next day, as a normal thing. LOL), as I devoured it all. But, before that, I used to get the spaghetti & meatball's(I mean, what kid never loved the messy spaghetti!? LOL), or I would get a burger(Cheeseburger), or the chicken fried steak, or the veal parmesan(They might not have this, anymore. As, many people had issue's with veal, starting back in the 80's. Which, those who have had this before, know's that it is served on top of a spaghetti, with a marinara sauce). But, once in a while, I would get the pancake's, or waffle's. But, their baked good's, are some of the best around. There is only 1 place around, that would compete with their baked good's. Which, the place is a bit of way's away, in Dalton, Ohio. But, I would say, they are tied for first, with their pie's, for sure! Which, this is an update, on a bit more information on different varieties of food's, that they have here, on my personal experience's...
Read moreAlthough i've lived semi close, last week was the first time i've ever eaten here. We had eighteen people with our group and reservations were made a couple weeks in advance. However, when we arrived, no one who was working knew of our reservations. But, they were so gracious, they didn't get upset about it. They just did some moving round of tables, and we had a place large enough for our group. We had one server and she was excellent. She was not a bit rattled about having a large group at the last minute. The food was excellent. Servings were pretty good sized. I had called ahead to find out about my dietary restrictions, which happen to be gluten free and was informed that they do have a gluten free menu. So I was able to have a really nice meal. Ferraro's is also a bakery, and I was disappointed to find out that they did not have any gluten free options in their bakery, nor did they have gluten free bread for on the tables. Another girl and I are both gluten free and we had to sit there and smell that homemade bread, but we couldn't have any. It would've been nice if they at least offered a gluten, free muffin or something. None of their desserts, which are all homemade cookies, pies, were't gluten free. I guess I am used to that and I was thrilled that they had a gluten free menu for the entrees, but boy, a piece of that wonderful looking pie or one of those great looking cookies would have been really nice. All that being said I would go back there in a heartbeat because their meals are really delicious, large servings, and...
Read moreMy friend and I came here to get a take out order. We went inside to look at the menu and desserts. Our waitress, although knowing it was a take out order, was SO nice, patient, and knowledgeable. We did take a bit of time asking questions and my friend was trying to remember the name of something she got years ago. The waitress asked several people and really made an effort to get an answer for her. Now the food...we were planning on eating much later, so we shared an order of their Fair Fries to eat on our way home. They were so SO good! Later, when I got my meal out to warm up, I was surprised how much food a dinner included. Ground sirloin patty with green peppers, onions, mushrooms, a nice sized baked potato and sour cream, Cole slaw, 2 slices of Italian bread and 2 corn muffins. (The Fair Fries long gone by now!) Everything tasted spot on. No complaints. The dessert case was too tempting to pass up, so I decided on a cherry cheesecake Square, a large toffee/pecan cookie, and an apple filled strudel. My family shared the desserts, tasting all, and they were perfect! The entire bill for all my food was $25.41. I will definitely be returning. And to our waitress, whose name I wish I knew, (11/14/23 at around 5:00) I want to say THANKS FOR THE...
