Flavors At The Split 2/20 (F.A.T.S 2/20) — Restaurant in Ohio

This is a local establishment as opposed to a chain restaurant. We ordered a burger with Swiss, mushrooms and onions. Come with a huge appetite because this burger was HUGE! You can get it with house fries or wedges. I took half of it home. It was only $13 and well worth it. We also ordered the Cubano Sandwich. His sandwich had GRILLED HAM, PULLED PORK, SWISS CHEESE, AMERICAN CHEESE, SHREDDED LETTUCE, HOUSE SPICY AIOLI, AND TOPPED WITH A SWEET BUTTER PICKLE. All of these ingredients well complemented one another and it was very good. Make sure you have plenty of napkins on hand because you need them For both of these sandwiches. (which is a good thing). Had a great time last night having dinner at Frankie's Tavern. My husband called ahead and made a reservation for 4 so we would be sure to have a place to celebrate my birthday. The owner/chef coordinated with my husband to have a special meal that was not a menu item. We had prime rib and it was the best prime rib we have had in years. Joe, the bartender took great care in serving us and was extremely attentive. The owners checked on us several times and assured we were satisfied. This small town restaurant is working hard to stay afloat in this difficult time. I highly recommend visiting them and having a great meal! You will be greeted with a clean welcoming atmosphere. It was so great that my family came back 3 nights in a row, and it would have been more if we found this bar sooner. The owner Mark is awesome, and makes you feel right at home with funny conversation and some of the best food I’ve had at any restaurant period. We had some delicious pot roast that was so tender and flavorful, and paired perfectly with the freshest creamy horseradish sauce. The Rueben sandwiches we had the next day was easily the best Rueben I’ve ever eaten. If you’re ever in Painesville and have any love for good drinks, great food, and even better times you need to swing by and give Mark a holler.
