Throughout the entirety of our experience with this Gionino's location we felt underappreciated as customers and completely disrespected as people. Know that if something goes wrong with your order, the staff have no integrity and will fight you when you ask them to take responsibility for their mistakes.
When we picked up our pizza from this location, it was cold as they had just set it off to the side after "cooking" it. This is a food safety violation that we will be reporting to the local health department. My husband asked the employee to put it back in the oven to warm it up and they put it in the oven for 60 seconds, which barely warmed it up. When we tasted the pizza, it was doughy and undercooked. We could not finish the pizza because it was so undercooked and the taste of yeast was overwhelming. When ordering a pizza to go, we expect the product that we pay for to be ready to eat, otherwise we would have just invested in a frozen pizza from Wal-Mart. My husband called the next morning and talked to an employee about picking up a refund, as the location had closed shortly after we picked up our order. When he called the shop a second time, he spoke to a woman who continually asked him to repeat himself, and when she did hear what he said she pretended like she heard him say something completely different. He kept repeating that he had already spoken to an employee who had agreed to give him a refund, and was just calling to let them know he was on his way in, as we finally had a break in our New Years Eve plans, but she kept insisting belligerently to give us a new pizza. We have no desire to eat at a pizza place that cannot properly cook their pizzas, or does not properly train their employees on how to cook pizza, and had already been promised alternative reparations. When my husband arrived to pick up gis refund, they were very rude and cold to him, which is completely inappropriate in the world of customer service, but is apparently acceptable at this pizza place.

Read moreWe placed an order online mid-afternoon, knowing they would be busy for Super Bowl Sunday and were okay with a wait. After about 3 hours, my husband called the shop and the order had been mistakenly placed for pick up instead of delivery- not sure if it was our error or a web error since we input delivery address. We were placed on the phone with a manager. We asked if it was able to be delivered, and he said he wasn't sure when the order would be able to get there. My husband asked if we could have a refund, and we were told that the food was already made and paid for. We insisted on the refund, and we were told "okay, I'll go ahead and refund it since it's MY fault that it was placed for pickup. Never order again," and hung up on my husband. We've never had an experience like this, and we order from this shop all of the time. It's my favorite pizza and I'm disappointed that there was so much aggression from a member of the management. I asked for a new order of chicken to be brought out . They demanded i bring the food in. When i did bring it in i was told obvious PINK chicken was fully cooked . begrudgingly they finally agreed to make make me a new order.
