Houston's Chicken and Ribs — Restaurant in Ohio

The actual name of this location is Houston's Chicken & Ribs

After searching for a place to eat in the area I stumbled upon this little stand reviews often stated the stand was not open when they went due to hours not being postrd here.. Well I uploaded their menu hours and phone number for you all..

Now onto my review I frequent barbecue spots all over Ohio, Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Virginia.. so I'm no stranger..

I only had the pleasure of trying a half a chicken and baked beans and a roll.

Chicken- 4/5. When I first stumbled upon the listing on Google it's was called Houston's smoked chicken and ribs so I assumed I was going to get some smoked chicken but what I got was some barbecue chicken that was much like rotisserie very soft and tender and a little dry but still very edible with no smoke flavor at all..

Beans- 3/5 the beans were typical beans ... but tasty still. Nothing to write home about.. but also not disappointing it was mentioned that they put some rib pieces in their beans as well

Plan to someday in the future revisit and try out the pulled pork sandwich or possibly some ribs and when I do I will certainly update this review with my...

We found this little gem quite by accident while stopping for gas. We were on our way home from vacation, and still had a 6 hour drive ahead of us...and smelling that wonderful aroma of chicken and ribs on the smoker sounded so much better than fast food! Everyone there was incredibly nice and even let us sample the ribs before ordering. The ribs were incredible with a great flavor! The chicken was so tender, it fell right off the bone. It was delicious, and the entire family loved it. I'm so glad we stopped when we did and discovered Houston's! I only wish they were closer to home. Just a heads up though....they are open seasonally and for half the week. You can follow them on Facebook...

I like to think of myself as a bit of an expert on pulled pork considering just the sheer amount of it I have had in my life. And this place makes a pulled pork sandwich that is one of THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD. I really really really wish that I didn't live 2 hours away from this because I would eat here daily. Also, the service was really friendly and the menu was surprisingly big. 5/5 stars without...
