I have been eating at this restaurant since I was a kid living in New Carlisle and I believe today’s visit will be my last. The quality of the Qualified has been on the decline for years, but today it was the service that was more upsetting. Absolutely the most horrible service I have ever seen. First of all, the hostess acted like she didn’t want to seat us or deal with us at all. And then when we finally did get to our seat we waited for several minutes and watched as four different waitresses came to all of the tables around us and completely ignored us. I had to get up and go back up front and tell them we needed a waitress. When they finally got the waitress to our table she was fine but we had a complaint about our chicken and management could not be bothered to come back and talk to us. She told the waitress to tell us to come up front and when we tried to explain our problem she dismissed it saying that there had been no complaints about the chicken all day. In my experience, when a customer tells you there’s something wrong with the food that you served them you don’t act as though they’re stupid for bringing it to your attention. You kindly apologize and then do something to make it right. Customer service obviously isn’t a priority at this restaurant anymore. I am extremely disappointed and I will not be...
Read moreI have never went to a restaurant and never left the waitress a tip. I eat at your facility quite often breakfast lunch and dinner but I will never return because your waitress and the hostess at the very end of my experience was extremely rude and when I ask for the manager’s name she said it was Lisa and I said can I speak to her and she started laughing and said no and I said well when will she be in and she said I don’t know her daughter just died. Well for one that was too much information and for to the customer service experience there was awful if I could give a zero star I would give us zero the food was decent except for the fact that I ordered chicken to go and it said on the counter 25 minutes before I got my food. And then when I asked if I could have my chicken wrapped in foil because I’m going an hour north I was told well hold on let me go over here and get your chicken off the counter that’s been sitting there well I don’t want to get salmonella so therefore I asked for Fresh chicken and that’s when the waitress begin to have her attitude. I’m not sure if she’s new or just having a bad day but you definitely lost my business my sister’s business my mom‘s business and my dad‘s business and I will make sure to tell everyone that I know that goes there how horrible of servers you have on this...
Read moreApril 17, 2923 Family owned and run. After 19 years (family moved from the area), it was as good as I remember. We chose all you care to eat broasted white fish, as sides we selected their signature Cole slaw and green beans ( cooked with bacon and served piping hot). $12.59 per person. Hubby got a slice of blueberry pie to go $3.69, each of us had coffee $2.29 with plenty of refills. We will be going back for baked swiss steak, Broasted chicken and more in the near future. Check their website for menu and daily specials. The dining room is a step back in time with counter service, spacious booths and tables. Service was outstanding It is close to Interstate 70 on Ohio 235. We took two lanes for a nice drive.
Update: We went again on June 12, 2023. We don't eat out often and it is more than 20 miles one way for us. Well worth the time and drive. I toyed with swiss steak but again chose the Monday White fish special. We both had the same sides of cole slaw and green beans. I must add that they make their own bread, which my husband thoroughly enjoys. Loaves are available to purchase to take home. I didn't think it was possible but the fish was better than when we were there in April. Hopefully our next visit will be within the month.
Photo is from our April visit. I had already eaten...
