Rudy's Dairy Depot — Restaurant in Ohio

Used to love this place! Sad to have to give such a bad rating but the owners have given up. They’ve declined rapidly in service, price value, and quality within the last several months. They’ve increased a topping addition to $1 per topping. They have a debit card fee. Really?! Who pays in cash. They keep making mistakes and will make your sundae wrong over and over even in the same trip. The young girls goof off, slam the window in your face, don’t know the menu or describe accurately. They told me it will be $13 at the window. I get to the window and it was over $15.50 for two sundaes and they had to redo my icecream. You wanna charge that much fine, but don’t tell me an inaccurate price. Still have the nerve to think they deserve a tip.. they won’t even include napkins which means several spills from a messy job. My fiancé and I just tried their ice cream for the first time today and unfortunately it just did not hit the mark. The ice cream they used was not very good tasting and melted extremely quickly/wasn’t very thick. The Oreo cyclone I got didn’t have near enough Oreos in it either AND I ordered it with extra Oreos (which to me, it just doesn’t look like they fulfilled the order correctly and didn’t add extra at all.) My fiancé got a raspberry shake that tasted like straight cough syrup….i wish I could describe the taste of the ice cream better but it just tasted bad.

I am aware that they are more known for their food, aka their chili dogs, so maybe in the future we’ll give them another chance with those, but for now on, no more ice cream...

I went to Rudy's a few times over the summer when they were open until 10PM(as it says online). I attempted to go for a late night cyclone this winter and after 5 minutes of waiting, I knocked on the window and was told that they close at 9PM in the winter. Again, I attempted to go to Rudy's today (01/28/25) and arrived at 0745. After waiting in the drive through for over 20 minutes, no one took my order at the menu/microphone, and It was my turn to pull up to the window and I was not addressed. No one came to the window. There was a sign on the window that stated "open 11AM-8PM." After two failed attempts at getting Rudy's, and the hours being changed both times (within 30 days), I will not be wasting...
