We order here very often. I normally get the same thing we spent over $100. Three of the four main dishes were only half portions. Their flavor was bland. The fourth dish flavor wasn’t right no red wine in it at all. The rolls are flat and not the same all within a month, I called to complain spoke very nicely the owner told me that’s the way they do it now and hung up on me Very disrespectful and unprofessional. The only thing that was right were our 4 appetizer’s!!
Thank you for responding If your the owner I spoke with you that evening and you hung up on me after you told me it’s the new way your portion are an there’s nothing you can do! After ordering from your family for so many yrs and also coming in to eat with 3-4 families in one group and spending so much money it was just very unprofessional and belittling I don’t complain and never have to you and when my 15 yr old son is still really hungry after a full dinner meal plus the 4 appetizers we ordered an not just him but our 8 yr old ate her whole meal that’s how small of portions their were! It’s really unfortunate because we ordered the same meal so many times a month an if that’s now your portion for take out I can’t pay the price you want for that small of a portion!! Best of luck to you!
Edit: I appreciate you commenting on her but when I called and spoke to you the owned sir you didn’t care what so ever and I nothing more then a nuisance on the bottom of your shoe and after I kindly explained what was wrong and you told me that’s how we do it now YOU THEN HUNG UP FOR WHAT REASON? I’m sorry but I expect to be treated the way I treat others I did want nothing free from you I was upset because when you pay the prices you do for a full dinner Meal I expect it to be as if I was there sitting in an eating! I’ll be honest I’m afraid to order from you guys because for a family of 4 on. Take out meal that takes 20 min to spend over $100 and then be given half portion a the spoken to like I’m a no body is rude and disrespectful!! Im not someone special but I’m a human being, I would understand if I called an was like hey wtf this is messed up I want money back an being nasty but in way was I or would I of been sir! Have a great week...
Read moreToday I paid this establishment a visit with the company of my husband and mother. My mother raved about the ambiance, service and quality tasting food. We decided to give it a try while in to town for a funeral. We all ordered the same meal. Upon placing our orders we reiterated to the server that my mother does not eat meat and my husband only wants salmon as his protein of choice and nothing else. Our waiter verbally noted those requests. Once our meals arrive, I noticed small chunks of what looked like ham. The waiter informed me that it was in fact Ham. He apologized and stated that he's actually unfamiliar with many items/ingredients on the menu. However, He assured the orders would be fixed. Quickly after the waiter left the table to replace our orders, a tall gentleman(black glasses) who we were later told was one of the owners, Came to the table. He says, "Hello, You guys need to read the menu next time, The menu says the ingredients." My mother and husband were immediately offended and taken back by the lack of empathy and professionalism of one of the owners of this restaurant. I informed the gentleman that I did in fact inform the server of these restrictions. The owner quickly reverted his original notion to, " Oh no, It's okay, your orders will be out," as he walked off. The server was understanding and tried his best to turn our experience around. Once the new dishes reached our table, we notified the server that we will pay for our bill and leave everything there as is, no boxes, no anything. Our experience was tainted when the owner lacked understanding for an error on the establishment as a whole. No server in the building should be unaware of the items on the menu. The menu is also in italian, If you are not fluent in italian, how would you know the italian word for ham? In the future servers should go the extra mile to reconfirm items on the menu to ensure dietary needs of valued customers are being met. We decided to have lunch at Niccolini's on Raccoon rd. It was the best decision we made! The staff was wonderful and the food...
Read moreWhen we walked in, there was no greeting. There were no smiles. 2 extremely grumpy teenagers glare at us as we walk to the podium. No one asked how many were in our party. Barked orders of "wait. She's gotta clean the table", a quick argument ensued over not cleaning the table properly. I guess it was the hostess that looks right at me saying, "You two follow me." Menus sitting at the table, we seat ourselves. The entire restaurant was almost full, but no one looked happy. Everyone was miserable. I've been a chef for 28 years, and this place looks like a funeral. We stare back with smiles on our faces cause we've had a great afternoon and we're looking forward to tasty meal. As my boyfriend asks "should we leave?", a beautiful and radiant smiling face walks up to our table. I am shocked by her welcoming demeanor and remark on our experience when we entered. Aurora was and is the only reason we stayed and had dinner. The food was ok. The calamari tender, the flavor was safe. The Italian greens the flavor was overpowering and a bit chewy. The meatballs were mediocre. The wine Aurora suggested was very flavorful and I enjoyed every drop. That server is an asset to that establishment. She was apologetic and embarrassed and very frustrated. She knows who and what the problems are but can do nothing about it. What the FOH employees would allowed to sit on their phones, treat customers like an interruption, and argue openly on the floor. The GM should be ashamed, and the owner should hear about this. Train your staff and listen to your...
