Terrible service. I came in & sat down with 3 friends. (We came for food not drinks - it was early afternoon.) The bartender immediately runs over & asked for our ID. I interrupt and ask was an ID needed to order food (it was 2 kids in the bar at the time - they were the same skin color as her of course) which was my point in wondering why the ID was needed before she even knew what we wanted. She then proceeds to say she doesn’t need the ID anymore. 5 mins go by and I decided to pay $14 to purchase credits on the juke box which I did from my phone. Being that it was early and an older crowd I wanted to play slow music. I chose the wrong song on accident which wasn’t explicit nor rap it was a slow song as well. Right away the bartender runs over to us and says so rudely “NO RAP MUSIC.” I was confused because 1.) I didn’t play rap nor did I mention it at all. 2.) why is rap offered as a selection on the juke box? & 3.) why are you assuming that I came to play rap music. I asked her why is there not a sign that says that so patrons will know before they spend their money. She replied “you know I can’t hang a sign that says that.” So I asked why do you feel comfortable saying that to us then? She said it’s a policy from the owner. Had she said no explicit music it would’ve been 100% understandable as I have enough respect to not even attempt to play explicit music around my elders. She was about 70 years old herself. I asked for a refund for the money I spent on the music because I concluded we just weren’t welcomed and she refused I had to ask 6 times and start recording just to get a refund & when I left I realized I was charged $14 twice. I spoke with the owner later that day and he said I should overlook it because she’s older and that he has all kinds of “black friends.” Typical reply when someone is being called out. Our money is needed to keep that place in business but our presence clearly & blatantly...
Read moreAMAZING FRIES, VERY SIMILAR TO Idora Park! Areally nice place it's shocking that there is only one review. The place has been open for a while this has been my low-key spot. Not really a crazy crowd and a lot of the same people that are there the ownership has changed some, ie one partner bought out another or something like that. They have daily specials and the place has been remodeled since the first review in 2015. The same bar but a brighter color scheme and outdoor patio is very nice for the smokers. They have daily specials on drinks and food. The food is really really very good. I have had the Burgers & Wings plenty of whiskey lots of beer and the pizza. They also have other things on the menu such as Gyros and steak. And by the way if you are from Youngstown Ohio and you are old enough to remember Idora Park the fries here are very similar and amazing. GREAT FOOD NICE PLACE! I LOVE IT! The one bartender Mel is great, but all the...
Read moreThe only reason they got 2 stars is because the food was good. The atmosphere is eh and the bartenders don't care. If you're in a pool league, try to avoid this place on Thursdays. They bring out a DJ with LEDs that blind you when you're trying to play, we asked if they can turn the lights off until we finished. We were told "no". When I went to the ladies room, there was fighting going in in the kitchen on the other side of the wall. Time and place... take the person into the office and discipline them. Lastly, I asked for my bill, the bartender cared about getting the next 4 customers their drinks over my bill...she did this 2x, she's lucky I didn't walk out. I am going to avoid this place on pool nights....
