The Landmark restaurant in Youngstown, Ohio is a staple of the Westside. It’s simply one of the best places to get a great breakfast. The portion size for the price is very good. I usually go as soon as they open, not too crowded but it gets busy. You walk in and seat yourself, I usually like to grab a table. The seating options here are table, booths or the counter. I really enjoy the atmosphere here, early morning crowd of people getting ready for work or retired guys just enjoying their coffee. My waitress came over to me quickly, she was very pleasant. She then took my drink & breakfast order. She returned with my bottom-less coffee & water, there was a cup full of creamers on the table that I used to give my coffee the correct consistency. My meal was out a short time later, perfectly prepared, hot & correct. The best part of this place is after you finish your breakfast, you can stroll over to the bakery counter and get some amazing donuts. They make an Apple Fritter & Bear Claw the size of your head!!! They are big and amazing tasty, you simply must try them. They have a whole case of delicious donuts that I know you will enjoy. If you love a proper breakfast & delicious donuts, this is the place for you.

I come to the Landmark to treat myself to breakfast since it’s the day before my birthday and I ordered “the big daddy” that comes with 2 sausages, 2 pieces of bacon, hashbrowns, eggs and toast. This lady who clearly doesn’t know what she’s doing rings me up for just eggs and toast so I had to go back in because apparently she didn’t understand that I wanted additional eggs on the side, not for my meat and hashbrowns to be left out. I wish they had the ladies who know what they’re doing because she was clueless. I ended up paying $25.64 because I had to go back in and place my sausages, bacon and hashbrowns separately which I could’ve paid less for if she rung it up right. I will not be back to this landmark if she’s working. I will go to the other one in Hubbard but hey at least she brought my food out to me while I’m typing this review.

After some confusion trying to order dinner entrees..we finally got an order in. Because of Covid they were on a limited menu. We then ordered a chicken melt sandwich. A wonderfully huge piece of grilled chicken breast smothered in swiss cheese and topped with a mountain of bacon! It was so good. All this deliciousness was accompanied by some tasty tasty fries. We also got an open face meatloaf sandwich. I mean seriously? Memories of Baba making meatloaf dinner for the family! Smothered in scrumptious gravy on top of bread and accompanied by real mashed potatoes. The employees are super sweet and this is the place to go for a delicious home cooked meal at super reasonable prices! Loved them!

Ordered 3 dozen assorted donuts for our church, walked in and they weren’t prepared, no big deal. Decided to wait seeing as they were busy. They checked with me on what the order was and even repeated to me what it was, seeing as it was a big order with an extra instruction to cut them in half (which they said they could do). I ended up receiving 2 boxes of 36 pieces of cream sticks. Not what I asked for. I told them I was good and not to worry about it. On my way out to the car I was chased down by only what I can assume to be one of the owners, asking me what was going on with my order. I told him that we ordered 3 dozen donuts, assorted, cut in half. He stated they don’t cut them in half at which time I stated that we were told over the phone they would do it for us. I then stated that I was given 36 pieces of cream sticks. He responds by telling me that’s what I asked for. I then told him I asked for 3 dozen assorted donuts cut in half, not 3 dozen pieces of cream sticks. He then asked me what they are supposed to do with their mistake…like it’s my fault. Then as I’m walking away I hear him talking trash on his way back to the building. Give me a break guy. Word to the wise. Even if you call in ahead of time, they probably will still screw up your order.

In response to the false narrative that the owner of this establishment has responded to my review with I would like to start by saying that if the person taking my wife’s order would have asked for payment over the phone, we would have gladly paid, but she did not. Also, if cutting some donuts in half was going to be such a strenuous task for you to perform, you could have said no right from the beginning. We were under the assumption that since YOUR employee said it was no problem, that it would in fact be, no problem. Next I would like to acknowledge the fact ONCE AGAIN that the order was 3 DOZEN ASSORTED DONUTS CUT IN HALF. The order that was placed in front of me was 36 tiny pieces of cream stick donuts. Thats a far cry from what was ordered. Next I would like to address the fact that you stated I was too early and they were being cut up in the back before I arrived. Another lie. The young lady working the register went back and asked the manager if the order was ready, at which time I was told that they did not prepare the order yet. I was then asked if I minded waiting which I responded by saying no problem. Mind you I walked in at 9:22am with a pick up time of 9:30. Also. I was never told to take the order for free. The owner followed me outside complaining about YOUR mistake. Don’t try to spin some false narrative to try and make your establishment look better. You...

I went there this morning around 11:30 was told could sit wherever we decided to sit in the back the lady yells and says no you can’t sit back there first red flag then as we are seating No one even came to take our order so we decided to get food to go. The lady that was getting our food to go was very angry. She has so much bad energy on her that I didn’t even want the food anymore. So we removed ourselves from the situation and we end up going out to the one in Niles to eat and the waiters name was Giovanni The atmosphere at the one in Niles was very nice. They treated us with respect and dignity, and the energy was great. They did not seem racist any type of way. The food was amazing. I am a God-fearing woman, and I would never go back to the one on Meridian I felt nothing but negative Evil spirits and God was telling me to get out of there if you got GOD in your life and if you value your peace and your energy, you will run far away. From the one on Meridian I pray that you guys will get it together because the way that they are doing is not it and also, I’m not saying that the food there is nasty. I’m simply stating is that I don’t want anyone with that energy to be cooking or taking my order and...

I saw this was near my home and thought it was a place I might take my elderly father for breakfast. We waited in a barely full restaurant for a good 10 mins. Someone came in and they tried to seat them first. I wasn't worried about that, as I figured he was a local. He told them that we were first. No biggie. Then I order a scramble with Swiss cheese. This is where things go HORRIBLY wrong. They discovered in the back that they had no Swiss cheese. Fine. Did they tell me? NO, the waitress decided she would get in her lunch box and get cheese she had from home, stored who knows how, if she has kids, licks her fingers or washes her hands there. What did she transport it in? Is it clean? Then she brings it to me and tells me where it came from! Are you kidding me?! I've worked my early years in the restaurant business and then 20 years as a Dental Assistant and a consultant for medical/dental sterilization procedures and compliance in other offices. This is so WRONG AND GROSS on many levels! And then you tell me. She said I'll make another for you. NO. Goodness no. This calls into question all your practices. I will not be back. She could of have simply ask me first. And why would you do that, no less...
