Been down to come back to this place for years now and I finally made my way this weekend. I came here with my brother after enjoying the shores at Fairport Harbor Lakefront Park. I was almost confused as to whether the burgers on the menu included a choice of ghost pepper cheese (according to the menu). Luckily, the waiter proved me wrong and reassured me that ghost pepper was still a choice selection, so I ordered the Surf & Turf Burger which probably included one of the best Cajun ranch sauces I had ever tasted. The size of the meal was perfectly balanced as it was too small to the point where you are still hungry or too large to where youâre nearly asleep but just right to keep you energetic afterwards. Aside from the menu, I was fascinated by how great / calming the atmosphere was. I mean the hostess gave us a choice of dining in at the bar area, deck, or restaurant (indoors). But not only are the areas of interest are flexible but every area has a great view overlooking Lake Erie and the Marina, and the only thing youâll hear is waves. All in all, my advice for newcomers having the best experience here is spend time at the lakefront before heading to Sunset Harbor for lunch. Choose the best view and spot that matches your interests. Also, I recommend cash rather than card since it makes...

I put in an order for calamari fries- for the server to come back and say they are all outâŠ. lol so I tried the crab cake appetizerâŠ..
The âsurf and turf burger.â LOOKED good. But did not taste very well, the fries and burger both came out real greasy, the buns that they use for nearly every sandwich was not a good taste, the bread was so thick and dry, The shrimp came out like rubber chew. I was convinced this meal was prepared two days ago and re-fried.
The crab cakes- I didnât enjoy the batter coat as it was too brown. Also came out greasy!
When the server asked âhow was your food.â I said it was âok I wasnât impressed.â She said âwell you donât pay for the food, you come for the views.â I wish someone had said that before ordering anything that couldâve saved me some funds and time đ€Ł
I am not a fan of the paper menus, that blow all over when seated outside nor am I a fan of the plastic utensils.
Their drinks donât come in bottles or glass(quotes not great for the environment as they must think plastic is betterâŠ..) đ everything came in plastic. They charge you an extra $3 for fries with your burger otherwise they give you a lays chip bag with your meals!
PS- the outdoor seating/ tables do not come with an...
Read moreAnymore you are paying for the view and seating, thats it! Have been coming here for over 6 years and each visit has been worse than the last. They no longer sell perch only walleye, now charging a hefty amount for one piece of walleye in there fish dinner versus what used to be walleye and perch with tiny ramkins cups for the sides of coleslaw and potato salad. Fish tacos, 2 tiny tacos in the full dinner portion, I assume the small portion is One taco?!?! The tarter sauce tasted like it was on the verge of expiration and upon seeing how it is stored in a cooler that is leaking and nothing is labeled to know how long it has been in there. Lastly the hostesses at the stand acted annoyed like we interrupted their day, so sorry you had to stop playing on your phones and work. The server was okay (we have had April in the past) she really does try to do her best when busy and short staffed. However the girl who brought our food out basically threw it all down, including tossing the plastic wear down on the table stating "here's some utensils". Overall I don't think it is worth coming back and this was by far one of the best places to eat along Lake Erie at one time, it's just sad to see the decline of...
