The food was great. Steak is probably the best I've had. The shrimp and grits were just ok, no real zing of flavor. The ribs were both tender and had a pull to them. The only thing I can complain about are the veggies..all of them were under cooked my carrots where hard as rocks as well as the green beans! Love the atmosphere and byob. Will Def be back! **update** Well, we went back. At the end of June sorry I don't have the exact date. First noticed right away when walking in that the place was sweltering hot. One of the young men running around greeted us and told us they air was broke. Kinda wish that would have been disclosed when we made reservations that day! We opted to sit outside rather than leave since we drove over an hr to get there. The only option was a high top table that was also a fire pit table. One of the chairs was broken, and you could feel the metal bar. The door to the propain would not stay shut and kept swinging open. Already off to a great start. After 20 mins we asked a random server for water because it was 86 degrees. He brought us a craft of water but no glasses. Finally, another 15 mins, our server brought glasses and took the whole order since we already had 40 mins to figure it out. While waiting for drinks, we overheard the table next to us complaining about being 2 hrs and no food. Then a sever told the man that his wife's burger just disappeared...what?? But he could bring the man's food. They declined, wanting to eat together. No offer of a free drink or an app. They finally got up and left and low behold 15 mins later a burger comes out, but not the husband food! All the while we sat waiting for our drinks to arrive (20 mins). Shortly after drinks, salads came out. 20 mins later the food. My steak was ok little to.chard for my liking, but the veggies were actually cooked this time. The chop was huge and had good flavor. 2nd round of drinks didn't come till the food was almost gone the waiter said they were on the house. We never got to see the actual bill your just handed the machine to pay so we would not know what was or was not on the bill, Def not a fan. Over 2 and half hours from start to finish. Food is pretty good, but for the price, you better get your service under control. It's totally not acceptable to have people walking out and no refills on drinks.

My wife and I have been to this restaurant several times before they moved to the old Chops building in Geneva. We went on 2/12/25 opening night and had a pore experience. We were seated right away and water was brought about 10 min in they took our drink and food order. 10 min later they took my wife’s drink to the wrong table and had to make a new one for her. When we needed refills they brought me a bottle beer instead of a draft and it was skunked so bad I had to send it back. A different waiter then asked what we order as he was checking tickets in the kitchen he then came back and said that our steaks were on the grill. We were there for 45 minutes before our food came out and went to the wrong table the lady immediately said that they didn’t order this and the waiter took it back. The waiter went around the wall and then came right back out and said here’s your meal. My wife and I were very hungry by now so we just decided to eat it and our steaks were very charred and were not the same as when the restaurant was in Austinburg. We ate what we could of the meal and my wife was done. She went to the bathroom and a different waiter came over to ask how it was and I said ok I was honest. I explained everything that happened tonight and all he could say was it was the opening night and they haven’t worked in 4 months and there all in different stations trying to figure thing out. And that he was worried about Valentine’s Day and to come cack and try them they will get better. Well I can tell you I will not go back I used to talk this place up to every one I know and I have already called friends to say stay away. When you pay 180$ for a meal you don’t want to hear excuses for why it was bad and to come back and try them again not going to happen. On opening night it should be your best experience so you will come back not turn you away. Also when my wife got out on the restroom it was dirty not very clean. I home this helps someone out I know we went on opening night but we loved the food of this restaurant and now that has been ruined. I wouldn’t go back it’s not worth your money for the quality of service and food.

Wow! What a hidden gem!! This charming, rustic restaurant is located behind the Estate at Coffee Creek. As we drove to the back of this property we saw this unique, rustic, inviting building embellished with decorative lettering and flourishes. We knew we were in the right place! The owner/chef Matt greeted us and gave us a wonderful overview of his restaurant and the delicious offerings. You order right at the counter/ butcher case where delicious fish, beef and pork cuts are ready to be chosen and grilled to your specifications. Wow! I chose the NY Strip Steak and my husband chose the Filet. For our sides, I chose the mashed potatoes, fresh green beans, and onions and mushrooms to accompany my steak. From there, we were invited to choose our own beverage from the cooler filled with beer, white wine, other beverages and soft drinks or red wine from their extensive collection. We chose to sit outdoors in the charming courtyard with lush potted flowers and an inviting fire pit area. It was a beautiful evening, and our server, Allison, took great care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. She was very sweet and personable and told us how much she enjoyed working there which underscored the good vibe there. Our steaks arrived and were prepared perfectly!! Just as tender as could be! And my sides were so good, too! We took our time enjoying our meals and the beautiful setting! This was a memorable dining experience and worth the price!! Highly recommend it!!

I don't like giving bad reviews but we just had the worst experience with service that we can remember. I saw all the great reviews and talked my family into having dinner there on 9/28/2024. We were seated at 6:15 pm. We didn't see a server until 6:30 pm. We placed our order immediately. I only ordered the onion soup. My daughter-in-law ordered a baked potato, asparagus, and the 1/2 cauliflower appetizer (she is a vegetarian and there were no items for vegetarians on the menu), my son ordered ribs and carrots, my husband ordered a ribeye steak (medium rare) and truffled hand-cut fries. We asked that all the dishes be served together as my daughter-in-law and I had ordered appetizers or sides for our dinner. I received my soup and my daughter-in-law received her cauliflower in 15 minutes which we specifically asked them not to do. Then we had no one check in with us for another 45 minutes. We finally waved down a busser to find our waiter. We watched him look for the waiter for a while. We then asked the hostess. 10 minutes later she came back asking if he had been by and we told her "no". He finally came over about 1 hour after taking our order. We explained that we were seated at 6:15 and it was now after 7:30pm and we had not been served. He checked on our food and told us that the reason it was taking so long was because we had ordered the half chicken and that had to be defrosted. We explained that we had NOT ordered the half chicken and he was not checking on the correct order. He came back again and told us that they were plating our meal. Let's just say were disappointed in the quality of the food. We enjoyed the soup and the ribs. However, the sides were not seasoned and bland. The asparagus was overcooked, mushy and cold. The $54 ribeye steak had been pounded to death until it was a thin piece of meat, it was overcooked, over-seasoned, tough, dry and cold. The truffled steak fries were the hottest item we received but they were not truffled and didn't even have any salt on them. (there is no salt on the table). The waiter took the $8 soup and $12 cauliflower off the check for us. But it was still a $150 meal which was late and poorly prepared. I can buy a ribeye at Krogers for $13 (instead of $54) and grill it and it would have been far better than the tough dry meat we received. Finally, the waiter didn't come back with the bill so we had to wave down the busser again to find the waiter so we could pay the bill and leave. We paid the bill at 8:30 pm. 2 hours and 15 minutes. Based on the ratings, I am willing to assume that they had a bad night. However, we did not feel that the staff cared about us as customers with the one exception of the hostess who we felt was very good at her job and tried to help us when we asked her. On a side note, the restaurant isn't large and at least 1/3 or more of the tables were empty while we were there. And we were seated directly in front of the meat case where the manager and staff had to walk by us to get to either side of the restaurant. In other words, we were not in a corner someplace, we were in the center front of the restaurant. There was simply no reason for not stopping by and giving us an update or asking if we needed another round of drinks, etc. They simply neglected us. Finally, the manager was about 10 feet away from our table working off and on, never looked up at us, never even stopped by to apologize or to acknowledge the long wait. This is the main reason we will never eat...

My family and I traveled 5 hrs to surprise our grandfather. as we were in the area, we found this restaurant on google, we wanted steak. We were a party of 6 people, including one toddler. We went and were told they worked by reservations only, but we did not see that note in google, but they would serve us anyway that day, so we were excited. Once we were seated we were able to order drinks (ginger ale in the bottle) and others ordered whiskey on the rocks etc. also an appetizer, (potato wedges 1) after some time we received the appetizer and also ordered our main dish, but nobody gave us utensils, we had to ask for it and the server was laughing as he walked away, not sure why (some family tried to say it was racial) I insisted it was not, so that we can continue to wait patiently for the food and enjoy, but it surely does make you think, even if no malicious intentions were meant. We waited approximately 2 hours or more, not sure and then decided to ask for our food to take out as the experience turned a bit not very enjoyable, due to the extensive waiting time, and the service/attention. My husband was already aggravated, others were moody, There wasn’t a lot of people this day only a party of 6 next to us, and other couples sitting around, and apparently they had 20people in the other room. We understand that at the beginning it was taking so long due to probably not having the reservation, however, it turned out just very extensive and tiring, no one would check on us or give us updates, also not being given utensils/napkin, upon seating on the table and having to ask for them to be able to eat our appetizer. We do not want to think anything bad, as not only one server was assigned to our table, they were kind of all over the place, some guys were nice, but I guess we felt like this was the first time we felt neglected in a restaurant for such a long time, I lost track of time once we asked for takeout, so we could leave, all the food was suddenly ready, I do know we arrived sometime at 7:20 pm and got back to our hotel which was 5 min drive, around 10pm or so, we ate in our rooms, the food was delicious, and the portions were generous for the prices. I guess the point is that the hosting/service felt a bit rude and neglecting for us. I see a lot of positive reviews, but not sure what happened? Had someone check on us at least, and provide updates like every restaurant usually does, the experience would have been a...
