I really really wish I could give a good review of this place! I was excited to try it. The place is very nice.. The server was very nice! None of that got the one star... The prices are high, which I am fine with BUT I expect quality food for the money! The lettuce was very wet on the salad bar and was finely chopped up which I thought was strange. If it was not for the wet soaking lettuce the salad bar would be very nice. It cost 10 bucks for one single trip to the salad bar!!? Really? 10 bucks? That is not reasonable in my opinion.. The onion rings were soggy and were definitely Frozen not hand cut and dipped. The ranch was good.. I got a full rack of ribs and they came as 2 half racks stacked on one another. The top one tasted really good but when I started on the one the bottom one I found it not to be fully cooked, and I did end up getting really sick that night and feeling ill the next day. We as a small family.. 2 adults and a 1 year old cost a little over 70.00!!! No alcohol was purchased. And not including tip. Over 70 bucks! The fries are good! They were included in the appetizer sampler (which in my opinion is taking a cheap way out) along with the onion rings I was talking about. Everything came out almost at once, no time to eat the salad, then no time to eat the appetizer, and then the main course comes on top, that's the servers fault for putting everything in all at once. But like I said the server was very nice! I can not justify ever going back especially after getting really sick, that was kind of scary. I just can not recommend the place after...

My brother and I came by for an early dinner today after seeing many positive reviews. I was intrigued by their "famous" salad bar and Big Ben burger. You don't see too many salad bars these days and I was excited to try something new. I'll start with the positives. We both had the Big Ben burger and overall tasted very good. It's a big burger and will satisfy the heartiest of appetites. The restaurant itself was a nice setup with much sports memorabilia to look at. The negatives. Well, the fact that their sandwiches (including burgers) come a-la-carte. French fries are an extra $4 and onion rings & waffle fries $4.50. So, a sandwich and/or burger platter costs almost $20. We had the salad bar as well which as far as I understand is not offered as a side offering and you must pay almost $14 for unlimited salad bar. So, my Big Ben burger, fries, and salad bar cost a grand total of $34!! Multiply that by 2 and the total cost was over $70!! Yes, $70. I cannot recall ever having paid this much for two burgers (despite the size) fries, and salad bar. Red Robin offers their double burger, endless fries , and salad for $20. I get the rising costs of running a business and unfortunately some of it has to be offset by raising prices. However, by making sides alacarte and apparently charging their salad bar (without soups or hot sides) for $14 to me is just plain overkill and left me disappointed with...

I have no idea where all the love for this establishment is coming from. I suspect it's from the, "I have to leave the restaurant in a food coma," crowd.

For all intents and purposes, Tony's is a more expensive Steak and Shake with a salad bar.

To their credit, they have a lot of seating so you shouldn't be waiting very long to get a table. They accomplish this by piling tables next to each other so there is no illusion of privacy or eating at your own table. People will regularly bump into you as they come and go.

As numerous other reviewers have stated, there is an impressive salad bar, with tons of options. However, there is and always will be, a line to get to it. The staff does a good job of keeping it replenished, but it's a salad bar, the food quality is cheap and intended to be fit for the trough.

Service is middling, the staff is courteous enough but too busy to spend much time attending to your needs.

The food quality is bad. Especially for the price. Take ~20% off the prices and I'd raise the rating to 3 stars but at these price points, it's preposterous to charge this much for this low-end quality. For comparable pricing you could go to one of the nearby chain steakhouses or all-american restaurants and get vastly better...

I hadn’t been to Tony’s for a few years, but was meeting a friend in Findlay and was feeling nostalgic. The menu has been curtailed a bit, which is fine by me. I always get a little concerned when a menu has too many items - thinking how can they do THIS MUCH well? But one of the things they took aways was the one-trip salad bar that you could add to any sandwich or even the bowl of soup. I always remember enjoying the salad bar and so I ended up ordering a dinner at lunch to get the salad bar included. I was not disappointed. I ended up with a 1/4 rack of ribs and waffle fries and a salad bar that I truly enjoyed. It was a much larger meal than I planned on, but we can splurge every once in a while! I ordered the ribs to get a little something along with the salad bar which would have been $15 on its own anyway. I was pleasantly surprised by the ribs and would definitely order them again. It’s all the toppings that are available on the salad bar and the prepared salads that make it truly wonderful. There aren’t many restaurants around that put that much care into a lineup like theirs. Kudos to the management at Tony’s for a consistently good salad bar for YEARS!

My co-workers and I visited Tony's for lunch today and I had the most disappointing experience. While eating my 2nd slice of pizza I noticed hair baked into the crust. Our server apologized and ordered another pizza for me. Prior to receiving my "remake" the server asked my coworkers if they wanted boxes for their food. My pizza arrived and it was very good however I only had time to eat a small portion. I was quite surprised when our bill arrived and I was charged full price. I questioned the server and expressed my disappointment. She said that if the food is remade they don't adjust the price. There are many dining options in Findlay, I will not be returning to Tony's Restaurant.
