I came with my family to get some ice, and as we pulled into the drive-thru, there was an employee standing in the middle of the entrance, on her phone, with her back turned. Obviously, we couldn’t get through, so my husband honked to get her attention. As we drove by, she started saying something, so my husband stopped to address her, and she told him he “didn’t have to do all that.” Well, how else were we supposed to get through when she was blocking the way on her phone?
Then, when we got to the speaker to order, the employee said, “Sorry, we can’t take your order.” I asked why, since the restaurant was clearly not closed—it was only 8 PM, and closing time is 11 PM. After a moment of silence, she proceeded to ask for our order anyway.
When we got to the window, I asked the young lady why they initially refused to take our order. She told me, “My manager said not to take it.” It turns out the person in the parking lot on her phone—the one blocking the drive-thru—was actually the manager, Nicole. For a manager to instruct her staff not to serve customers out of spite is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. That is not leadership, and someone behaving this way should not be in a management position.

After we placed our order(8:35pm) we asked if we were getting a table number, her response was, "no we close at 9 and will be kicking you out ". I get having a bad day but rude is not acceptable. Some couples in our group live 30 minutes or more away, kicking us out to eat our ice cream where? By the time they got home it would be melted. Would have been best to give us that information prior to ordering, or even got us out for quicker so we would get out quicker. It took longer then usual to get our few desserts that were ordered, about 15 minutes we did sit down, ate fairly quickly, right before we left I could get the cashier saying to a fellow employee "I'm almost done, just waiting for these people to get out". We don't have to choose this establishment to relax and hang out, especially have to deal with this level of rudeness. Very unpleasant experience, worse...
Read moreI usually give a 5 star review as long as I’m treated right. But as you can see today I was not treated right at all while I was purchasing a blizzard cake. I crabbed it from the case wasn’t asked if I wanted writing on it or not. Then I was not asked if I needed anything else. Then she rang me up at one price then deleted it and charged me more. I bought the same cake 2 mths ago and the first price that she rang up originally. When I asked why the difference she didn’t answer me. Then I said prices must have went up to see what she would say. She then said that the prices did go up when I know that they did not. Just seeing if she was honest or not. Well she was not honest with me. I looked online and there was a $5 difference in price. No it’s not about the money difference but it is about the dis honest employee that was very short and didn’t care to talk to the customer. Now trying to call the store no one will answer the phone.
