Blended Love — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

Nope... I am sorry but I am highly disappointed as I've been waiting a long time to try this place. Did not taste like authentic African food. So I order on DoorDash and I order the Peppered Gizzards, the Red Stew with Fish, Jollof Rice, and Egusi with Fish. So the peppered gizzards came in an extremely small portion. You could literally take a couple of bites and it was gone. It was not spicy like I thought it was going to be, and how I wanted it, but that was the only item that tasted Okay. It wasn't the best but it had a little flavor to it. I was very disappointed when I opened the Jollof Rice. It had shrimp and sausage that I did not order mixed in with it. I do not like sausage so that was a huge disappointment. Not only was there sausage and shrimp, the rice was very salty and the Rice tasted similar to Spanish Rice. The Red Stew was not spicy at all. The sauce tasted like pasta sauce or spaghetti sauce. The fish that was in the red stew tasted like it was boiled. Come to find out it was tilapia and I do not like tilapia. The Egusi was very watery and bland. You can taste The grounded seeds more than anything. It took away from the flavor. The Egusi also had fish added to it that tasted boiled. Then I kept seeing long strings in the fish that looked like tapeworms. Distraught I just threw the whole food away. I don't know if I got them on a bad day, but I won't be ordering again. Yes I'm upset because I spent $62 and could not wait to dig in only to be disappointed. Maybe they will...

Yes, 5 stars on everything because they earned it! The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming, the service was great, and the food was amazing. I got a fish (nice size fillets) plate and it was made to order so it was hot, and delicious especially with the tarter sauce. They serve enough food for two meals at least (in my opinion because I couldn't finish my whole at the same time). I had collard greens and mac and cheese as my sides and both were on point! The place is clean, even the bathroom. I truly enjoyed the whole experience and I am dedicated to trying something different every time I go, because I will be going back! You're doing great...

This place has me egusi whipped and now I’m in a toxic relationship with a restaurant that is only emotionally available on the weekends (which I understand why)😂😂😂 I love this place yal are amazing and I’m addicted 🙌🏻👏🏻
