Chimex Express — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

Chimex Express is, in my honest opinion, an okay restaurant with okay style of food. Its like a traditional chinese take out but with a few mexican choices as well, all made fresh....sort of. But Ill get to that.

Upon walking in you will most likely see two menus, one telling you what kind of options for meals they have, and their selection on food and appetizers. For me, I had the plate option which comes with one main and two sides. I got the broccoli and beef, with the fried rice and a side of egg roll and cheese wonton. I also got it with a bottle of mexican Cola (trust me there is a difference, and a fortune cookie. Now taste wise, it wasnt bad...but wasn't spectacular. While the food is made fresh, its not fresh and then to your plate, but rather fresh and placed in a bowl under a light to keep warm until you order it. The egg roll tasted fine, and the cheese wonton is alright as well.

Like I said, there isn't a whole lot to talk about this place. Its not bad yet its not the greatest. The best way to define Chimex is...its literally you get what you pay for. There's really not a lot of wow factor, even in the desert area which is a lot of prepackaged mexican deserts, which is fine but...why not make something? Like flan? Just seems a missed opportunity.

I placed an order this evening for ONE Beef Lo Mein & One Sweet and sour chicken. I received a phone call AFTER The order was sent out for delivery to tell me they had to substitute my sweet and sour chicken for sesame, I'm fine with that ... The order arrives, Their driver is struggling to find my house, Walking from door to door... So I have to go outside and stand in my driveway, I get the order... This woman Proceeds to tell me oh btw ur food spilled so be careful... I open my food to find the Sesame chicken and rice.. cool. But NO LO MEIN. Just a bunch of fried rice with some type of meat.. I didn't order this. So now my boyfriend isn't eating dinner because This place didn't send him his lo Mein & SAID NOTHING ABOUT IT. I call them to see if they'll at least make it right.. but no. They decide charging me a second delivery fee for an order they messed up. I'm good. I already paid for the order, I shouldn't have to REPAY Y'all for a mistake y'all need to make right 😂 literally argued on the phone with a lady and had to tell her about 6× In a row that I ordered LO MEIN NOODLES & There's no NOODLES In front of me lmao. Noodles noodles noodles is how it went. Please get it together. This was a TWO...

Look I will basically be honest here with you, Chinese food and Mexican food just doesn’t mix! I like the idea and concept that they tried to bring to the table, but it does not really work out. The food didn’t taste that good and tasted very cheap! The workers at this restaurant are friendly and good people. The environment was dirty and the buffet sections were very dirty ( i got mine take out to go). I payed like $12 for a container of food ( not worth it).

I personally believe that the food would be better if they had a restaurant that was mixed Chinese food and Indian food rather than Mexican food! Chinese food mixed with Indian food is basically Thai or Burmese food!! Lol, and it tastes...
