I've stayed in this Days Inn on several occasions and felt the need to leave a thorough and comprehensive review to inform those who could benefit from such information in deciding upon their lodging choices. The building itself is quite old and used to be a Green Carpet hotel chain before being acquired by Days Inn approximately 7 yrs ago, that said, the building has been retrofitted inside and out with many new, modernized fixtures to keep it up to date. I've stayed in many Days Inn locations, and this ranks among the top of the list of them. It's owned and operated by kind, yet stern Indian businessmen, which you will come to soon appreciate their level of sterness and the attention of detail that sterness comes with, as in, they are adamant in ensuring their property doesn't become rundown, or a crack hotel with pimps soliciting prostitution girls, etc. You need not worry about riff raff at this location, as they certainly police their premises to ward off the slightest infringement towards that. The rooms themselve are nicely equipped with flat screen 40 inch or so sized tvs, mini fridges, microwaves. Lamps have built in dual electric plugs. There are no usb ports however. All the rooms have the doors facing outside (which is my preference, anyways, instead of hearing the continual echoes of doors slamming down an elongated corridor which is typical in many hotels that have interior doors/interior hallways). The window ac unit has an electronic governor preventing guests from setting the temps to cold or too hot. 60F is the coldest you can set it, and 85 is the warmest you can set it. They have to keep their prices low by ensuring their electric bill doesn't skyrocket. The bathroom has a tub with a chained stopper, and a flathead showerhead that's about 9 inches circumference, it delivers a refreshing shower, and you won't feel any restraint on the water pressure. The breakfast is typical 2-star fare: Make-your-own waffles, cold cereal, fresh fruit, oatmeal, coffee, etc. Sorry, no meats, you're getting confused with a 3 or 4 star, and you're gonna end up paying more for that level of hospitality. In all, you'll be hard-pressed to find any other motel in the Oklahoma City area that offers this much value for under $100. Sure, nicer hotels DO exist, but you will certainly end up paying for everything...
Read moredisgusting for normal people good for druggies. we thought we scored bc of the room until we saw the bathroom. it was so gross. so much hair that came out of the tub. then they charge 40 deposit and 10 per animal. we extended our stay only bc i didnt know motel 6 does a 20 early check in fee or i wouldve left the first night. the second day we extended our stay on the app but didnt know we have to pick 2 beds every time. their cleaning banged the entire day. trying to come in. then at 1 am they gave my key to a women and she kept trying to reach in and unlock the lock and i said what are doing. single mom with kids. gave them the card. i had force her out. she kept saying this my room. look on my phone. when i went to the mngr the next morning he said its bc i didnt put 2 beds so i made sure i did it. you cant relax. you have tweakers knocking on the wrong door and wont go away til you open it. then the cleaning ladies knock non stop and then the owners too. i made sure i paid at 5am when i left to look at a house. my kids called me saying the mngr was calling and banging every 2 mintues demanding payments for a room i paid for at 5am and they know my uhaul isnt there they were harassing my babys. then also locked the keycard for a 13 yr old girl ti get locked outside by herself of a room i paid for a 5am. and theres si many tweakers. and then when i got back i talked to his wife and said who does that to little girl. your husband locked a little girl out of a room i paid for when i wasnt even there. i said who does that. she said she dont know. and he lied said he was just calling about the pet deposit.. hes a liar ans i wasnt there he banged twice. even after they said i paid he said nope then came back and said yes. the cleaning ladies and the mngrs were non stop banging on kids doors knowing i wasnt there. i bought food for my kids. it got stolen. we had to leave. you cant relax between the cleaning ladies and the mngrs everyday harassment. if your normal and want a family oriented and dog friendly place go to motel 6. just make sure you read their reviews and their not shady with their deposits. if your rough around the edges and need a place to stay the days inn is the...
Read moreThe room was trashed, the front desk charged a daily pet fee that they were pocketing and not giving me an invoice that included the pet fees, which prevented me from receiving per diem reimbursement from the company I work for... I was there 8 days and was charged $20 more than the cost of the same room per night, when through 3rd party booking and the Wyndham app, it was far cheaper. The wifi doesn't barely work, the manager was aggressive and angry, rude and disrespectful. I could go on and on, with the only bright spot of this place being the lovely, friendly housekeepers, who were overworked, underappreciated and practically abused... When I filed a formal complaint, the manager immediately cornered me in the laundry room and began yelling about how I cost him 400 dollars for a penalty from the franchise due to my complaint, and that I was going to call and remove my complaint and that we had resolved the issue.... Which is far from the truth... Then, when I left, (the room was far cleaner than it was the day I arrived) the manager kept my deposit because I was slightly late getting back from a personal errand, but only because I told said manager I wouldn't be staying another night. This was one of the most atrocious hotel experiences I have ever encountered.... The only bright spot being the lovely and friendly housekeepers. Who were overworked, underappreciated, and practically abused. I will never again stay at any Days Inn, period. I do feel as if due compensation not only for the excessive charges I was charged daily, but also for the pet fees that I couldn't get back, the disrespect, disregard, intimidation and aggression I was forced to endure while staying as a GUEST at this...
