I don’t do this, because I understand the point of owning businesses, and mistakes happen.
The first thing I did was reach out after a situation, they said they would handle it when I returned. I told them it may be a week or two, upon returning they denied all claims, and didn’t fix anything.
On 12.3.21, I visited this McDonald’s. I ordered a double cheeseburger, fries, & a coke. I pulled out to the red light, unwrapped my burger and took a bite. I took a drink, looked up at the light, looked back down to the delight of a small light brown roach crawling on the top of my burger.
I immediately, yelled some not so family friendly words, threw the burger back in the bag, and the bag in the floorboard. I was like freaked out. At the same time, I was like, well, stuff happens.
I simply called back the McDonald’s. The First Lady only spoke Spanish, but I only spoke English when speaking to her. She handed the phone to a team lead whom I explained the situation too.
I told her, look, I understand mistakes happen, do me a favor, throw out the batch, and maybe have them clean a little tougher tonight. I don’t want nothing in return, I don’t want to file a complaint or nothing.
She said the least we can do is replace your meal, come on back. I explained that I was late to work, and would have to comeback some other day.
Today 12.20 was that day, I ordered chicken nuggets, figured if I gave the box a shake, something would come running out if there was anything extra. I pull up to the window to pay, and explain to the two people taking payments I had a situation without explaining the situation and that my name was allegedly on some list to have it covered.
They said let me call for a manger. He said she wants to know the situation. I told him I had a roach in my food. She immediately comes to him and in straight Spanish tells him we don’t have roaches here and gives a sarcastic sound as if I’m lying.
I completely go off (professional / no cursing) explaining the situation to her in Spanish, telling her, that I probably spoke to her before she handed the phone off. Telling them it’s $8, I’m not worried about the $8, but you should be worried about my reach. Some other lady came up to the window yelling the same thing that we don’t have roaches in Spanish etc etc.

Read morePiedmont Rd & NE Expressway location. Since remodeled, this location is so hard to get anyone to wait on people at the front counter. Walk in and the person at the fryer and sacking food both look at you, but I guess it's not their job to wait on you or tell someone who can that there is someone waiting to order. Scanners don't work, so a person has to enter your code from the app and then they aren't sure they even remember how to do that. Today, the total showed on the register, but didn't show on the credit card reader. I tried to explain to the lady that it wasn't allowing me to pay and she tells me " but here's your sandwiches." I told her again that the credit card reader wasn't taking my payment. I asked if she wanted me to pay and she tells me no, it's OK. Well, I appreciate a free meal, I can't imagine this being standard practice for all front counter transactions. There was 3 people in line behind me and 2 left to go through the drive thru. I understand they have a problem hiring people to do the job but if you don't have the people to do the job you should put a closed sign on the door and not take people's orders. I don't understand why the drive-thru was moving so quickly but somebody who walked inside to sit down to eat had to wait 33 minutes to get their food. Makes absolutely zero sense to me. I finally asked for a refund and waited another 5 minutes and then they had the food ready. They obviously were not willing to give me a refund.
