I always seem to get bad luck with this store. I usually stop by between 1-3 a.m. when I get off work. Something is almost always wrong/missing when I finally get my order. A few weeks back, I ordered 2 McChickens with ONLY cheddar and bacon. I received my order and looked to make sure it was correct. It was made like a regular McChicken with added bacon and cheddar, so I checked my receipt and it was rang up right, so I pulled back around and the manager came to the first window and asked for my receipt and I gave it to her. I wasn't to upset, this stuff happens and I am a manager myself so I can understand mistakes. However, I ended up being there 45 minutes, with my McChickens being remade literally 6 times. They kept making them the same way every time.. regular McChickens add bacon and cheddar, which isn't how I ordered or what showed on the receipt. So I finally had enough and asked for a refund. The manager asked for my receipt again and I told her I'm sorry I gave my copy to you the first time, she gave me attitude saying I should have gotten back and it's gone now, so she had to look up my order in the history.. They had me fill out a paper leaving my contact info and everything but I never heard anything. About a week or 2 later I decide to go back and I get my usual frappe as the drink, they said their machine was down so I go something else, the next 2 nights same thing, then the manager said as I pulled up to the second window, that "their machine isn't working at night right now, so if I want a Frappe I have to come in earlier." If she was honest and just said that they were cleaning it, or they had just cleaned it so it was off for the night, I'd be ok.. But that machine doesn't just automatically shut down at a certain time and there is no way it can "break" to where it only works during daytime, like she was saying. Tonight was the first night I've been back since then. I didn't check my order when I got it because I was ready to get home, and the McDoubles I ordered only ketchup and pickles, had ketchup and onions on them, and I was charged for 2 apple pies and they told me after I paid that they were out so I'd either have to take the strawberry pies or wait 12 minutes without my food being remade. Read moreThe absolute WORST McDonalds I’ve ever been to, especially at night. I drive past it at least 4 nights a week on my way home from work, and I now purposely drive out of my way to the one on Shields & 44th because the service at this one is so bad, and I’m tired of paying for it.
They advertise that they’re open 24/7, but at least 4 times in the last few months I’ve come through late at night to find them randomly closed, without even a sign saying they’re closed. The first time they said they couldn’t serve ANY food, only drinks for at least 30 min because they were switching over to breakfast. It was 3:30 and they don’t even serve breakfast until 4:00, but the one on Shields had no problem serving me food (I went there straight from this one).
Another time they wouldn’t honor the terms of a coupon I had in the app, that I clearly ordered within the terms stated on it. It was a buy one breakfast sandwich get one for $1, I ordered as 2 Steak Egg Cheese Bagels, because the coupon specifically said those were part of the deal. They said they were not, even after being shown the coupon (there is a list of eligible sandwiches on the coupon and the Steak Bagel is one of them). I even showed the manager and he still refused to honor it. So I told him his boss would be getting a phone call the next morning (bait & switch is illegal). So I sent a message to corporate about it, the store manager called me the next day to apologize, and asked me to come back and order it again. That was her idea of making it right (nothing for my trouble, just come order it again). When I did, the lady at the window still argued with me about it, saying it’s not supposed to be part of the deal.
My last straw was a week or two ago. I sat at the drive thru speaker for 10 minutes (no exaggeration), with cars behind me, and no one ever answered the speaker. So after 10 min I came around to the window, where I waited (no joke) another 10 minutes, honking my horn and knocking on the window before anyone even knew I was there… only to be told they were closed again. There was no sign anywhere saying they were closed, they just expected people to know.
No more! Enough is enough! These people don’t have a clue how to run a business. If you can’t be open when you say you are, are going to waste 20 min of my time, and not honor your coupons, you don’t deserve...
Read moreI have an issue every time I go to this place. Either you don't even get what you ordered, but somebody else's order are, your order is wrong or missing stuff in the managers don't care. I tried doing the mobile order thing where you parked curbside to get your order, because that's the only way that I actually get the right food when I come through there instead of going through the drive through, and today was just the last straw. I ordered a drink and a parfait and waited for 20 minutes, watching the entire drive through clear out and still nobody brought my order out to my car. I had to go inside and when I did, they handed me the bag with the parfait into cups so that I could fill the drinks myself. When I called and talked to the manager because this was making me late for work. She said that when you order on the mobile app that it doesn't tell you what drink that they have to come out and ask you what drink and then go in and fill it. Just the other day, when I came through in order dinner on the way home, it was not like that. They brought out my order and my drink just as I had ordered it. She was just making something up trying to placate me. After that, she said that she'd make sure it didn't happen again, to which I told her that I knew it wouldn't happen again for me because I was not coming back to that store ever. Her response was ok and hung up. As I was in there getting my order, another guy saw me angrily filling my drinks and exclaimed about how that mcdonald's was a joke, and it truly is. Even if it is farther, I definitely recommend you going to a different mcdonalds. Even including drive time, you will still get your food faster...
