I came to this Subway on the eclipse day. I was there first, and waited for service in front of the counter. There was a white couple walked into the store and cut in line without asking me.
The woman started to order. The female employee served the woman. At the same time, the African American employee just came and asked me what do I want for the bread.
The white couple just got so mad, and started to yell at the African American employee. They are like “hey, we started the order, and why all the sudden you helped her?!” The African American employee didn’t reply them after apology to them while he didn’t do anything wrong!
It certainly to me that the white couple are racist. Because I’m an Asian. If they got a white people in front of them, they would have asked, and they would probably say nothing!
At the same time, I feel bad for the African American employee who is working there. I feel bad that I didn’t stand out for him. He did a good...
Read moreI was in about a year ago and had a woman who was clearly too high to function attempt to make a sandwich on flatbread. Either she had never been trained on flatbread or the drugs were taking over, as she attempted to ROLL the flatbread like a Swiss roll from the wrong end instead of folding it longways and cutting it. After that incident, I swore to never return to this location. Last week, I decided to give it another chance; however, I should have stuck to my original vow. The woman in there took at least 5 minutes to come out of the bathroom, which should have been my sign to leave. I then ordered my sandwich, an Italian BMT, and asked for bacon. I did not get bacon and did not get ham on the sandwich. It was sloppily put together and the toppings were haphazardly thrown on. It was clear she didn't care about her job. I will not return to this location again. There are numerous locations to choose from, and I urge you to...
Read moreI avoid this location at all costs, but a couple days ago, I went in because it was on my way home. Ordered a basic turkey sandwich. The guy working put next to no meat on the sandwich. The cheese in the bins was discolored around the edges indicating that it had dried out. The vegetables were clearly slimy and floppy (especially the cucumbers, but also some of the onions). It was cold outside, too, so I was sort of surprised when I got home and the mayo on the not-toasted, not-warmed-up sandwich was warm. I ended up spending the evening sick and hadn't eaten anything else that day, so I worry about the food storage/FIFO (dried out cheese and old, over-ripe veggies) and whether or not things are being maintained at the proper temperatures (mayo and...
