This place is a hidden gem. The food looks better on your plate than the pictures on the menu. This place I can't say enough. It's clean from ceiling to floor. The workers are friendly. Food is authentic and delicious. It's not no sit down and be served you sit you order then you can eat it there or take it to go. So it's a help yourself and pay when your done. People that gave this a bad review must be the rich and famous who think they are entitled cause not to at least try this place and know they are not going to put napkins on your lap for you. Oh not a large menu. It's very good for what you have to choose from I ordered the tostada's

Food is good but the service needs a bit of work. They had forgotten how I wanted my toppings and just gave me everything I ask not to be added. Also they almost forgot my drinks. The one tortilla tacos is okay. The rice, beans and salsa are great. Their fresh water drinks are great as well. 40 dollars for everything was a bit pricey but we hadn’t eaten anything. So it’s a decent spot. Very friendly and did everything on a timely manner.

El Panzote is a small place, kind of out of the way but is incredibly worth the visit. The food is amazing, fresh, authentic. The owner Daniel is a very nice guy and really cares about his customers. They have a lot of interesting side items as well like desserts and other food items you wouldn't find in a chain. If you are looking for a quaint, authentic place to enjoy some incredible food, you have to try this place.

I went for a second time because someone who gifted me a torta and told me they bought it at el panzote. I went and purchased two. One without jalapeño and one with them on the side They put jalapeño in both of them they put cilantro and cabbage. I have never eaten a torta with that usually they go with lettuce and tomato. Only one had avocado. We paid $8 for something we didn't even finish eating. I decided to try the ice cream I asked for one scoop one flavor and the other scoop another flavor thinking they did it like every other ice cream store. The man proceeded to tell me I paid for one scoop. I told him what flavor still thinking it was just a large scoop. It wasn't. Think of an at home regular size ice cream scoop. I paid $2.69 for half a scoop of ice cream. Their food is just as bad as their service and I will never go back even if they offer me free food. It's your decision if you want to...

How many times can you honestly say that you went into a restaurant and ordered a menu item and that item looked better than the picture on the menu? This is definitely one of those places. When I walked in I was greeted politely. I placed my order for 2 lingua and 2 pastor tacos. My mother got the chicken tostada. It was very clean and even the paint made it very welcoming and elevated the mood. When I sat down I noticed there was no music. I asked the cashier if we could hear some Volver, Volver. After all up to this point I was digging it and needed some real authentic Mexican music to really set the mood. He was very excited to accommodate. The food came out not in the most timely manner but my tacos looked like the menu. Lingua was cooked to perfection and the pastor was some of the best I've had. My mother's chicken tostada came out. I mean not only was it better looking than the menu but the portions were great! The food was also cooked perfectly and you can tell that the time it took was for a reason. It was fresh. As we ate they brought out desserts fresh and put them in a display. We even got a couple of those cakes and we're not disappointed. If you are in the area or even out and about. This place will not let you down. From the environment and attitude to the freshness of the food. This...

If you are passing by and you need a place to have a amazing home cooked meal I would highly stop at this restaurant. The atmosphere was great, clean and calm and I appreciate an establish who doesn't play the music to load to the point where I cant hear the conversation I'm having.

Now to the important thing, the food. I'm Mexican myself and so usually I tend to not go to Mexican restaurants because I feel like a lot of these local or big chains ruin the real taste of a Mexican dish. They either make the dishes a tex-mex style or the dish itself does not look appealing, meaning maybe you see a lot of oil, mushy rice or the food has to much salt. Let me tell you something this meal felt fresh, not to heavy but defiantly filling. It also came with three homemade tortillas. These tortillas where very good and not hard or chewy. I even had to ask the owner what the recipes was. The meal that I got is called a Chile relleno which is a Chile poblano stuffed with either cheese or shredded chicken. I was able to try both and they are both amazing. When I tell you i finished my whole place and felt very pleased and did not have that bloating feeling at all, it was truly an amazing...
