La Dolce Bakery — Restaurant in Old Bridge

I went to La Dolce back in the spring 2013 and we were greeted nicely. I was going to a another establishment for my niece's cupcakes but they couldn't provide my order as I wanted it. I then remembered my experience with La Dolce and went there. They said they could do the cupcakes as I wanted. I went to order and reminded them what I wanted on the cupcakes. I called after I left to confirm what it was I was doing and they again said, no problem we can do that. When I went to pick up the cupcakes on Saturday 1 hour before the baby shower.....I was given cupcakes that were not to my order. All I got from the woman behind the counter was "SORRY"....sorry.....that doesn't help me now with the shower in 1 hour. No apologize, no we can try to fix (the bakers were all in the back), no discount or anything.........I was very disappointed. I love the bakery but I will never order anything for an event at La Dolce....just get the standard rolls, breads, etc....but never ever again will I order a specialized order from your establishment. If the woman behind the counter would have even tried to resolve....I would not have been so upset....but all I got was...

If I could give this place a 0 I would. Worst place to get a cake from. I got a cake for my husbands birthday and the cake looked like a 2 year old made it and when I called the bakery they told me it’s from the humidity. No it’s because your just terrible. Especially Cindy the cake decorator there. I’m so disappointed with how they handled this situation and will tell everyone I know to never get from them again.

Responding back to the unprofessional person that responded back to me on the comment below. You offered me a credit of $75.00 towards the bakery as if I would ever use you ever again so YES I will get this disputed and get my money back since you guys can’t handle this professionally. Second of all, that was not black frosting that would forest green frosting. If it was black It would have blended in with the picture I requested. I’m sure if I would have gotten this done with a professional bakery I would have not had this issue. I will attach a picture for reference for everyone blocking out...

I had a very disappointing experience I went in this bakery yesterday for the first time trying to get my father a nice birthday cake I walked in and got the dirtiest look from this woman from behind the desk. She didn’t say hello or even ask if I needed help. She looked me up and down. I wasn’t even in there for a full minute I felt so uncomfortable. The cakes looked like they were melting and she didn’t have a big selection out. I would say try harder on your costumer service because that was my first and last time I would ever step into a bakery I felt so uncomfortable in.
