The owner is very mean and rude. He yells at his staff. Yells about cooking, yells about serving. Yells about anything and makes sure everyone knows about it in the diner. It was so hostile, I got up and left. I paid the waitress for our drinks, still tipped her snd got the heck out of there. We came in about 3:24pm. Checked the time, they close at 4pm- Cool, We wanted breakfast and wanted to try somewhere new because it looked like a nice old school diner and there was another person there. The waitresses there were nice. Served us quickly, we immediately put our orders in. She goes back to place our order with the line cooks and then all hell breaks loose. The owner starts shouting. Then continues shouting. I'm thinking "Ok maybe thats how he talks". I asked the waitress was he ok. She reassured us "Oh he's Greek, so you know he can be a little loud." I said, ok. But started surveying the room because it felt tense. Then he started pointing at us. Giving us dirty looks (and I mean staring with a snarl). Over some pancakes, eggs, french toast and coffee. He was yelling "we through out the batter, now I have to make more. I through out the coffee, no I have to make more." Why would you do that an hour before you close (Which he said at 3pm he did)? I asked the waitress "Hey if you guys are closed, we can just leave. It's a holiday weekend so I'm sure you probably want to start your holiday"- politely. It's not a big deal we already had a second choice if this was closed already. She said, "no its ok. Then he says, No its ok" but continues to yell and get more angry. Then he comes to the dining area, pacing, snarling at us from the right corner. Then the cooks are giving us dirty looks. I'm like, ok it's time to go. We didn't even finish our drinks and paid full price. Being combative he says, "Where are you going? The food is almost done." "I said, it looks like you wanted to close early and we're in the way of you doing that. So we'll leave so you can go ahead and close early to start your vacation day. Starts yelling, "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT! WE DON'T CLOSE UNTIL 4! Well You're gonna have to pay for all the food!" And starts yelling in Greek. I told him no. You've been yelling about having to cook it and not having the items the whole time why would I stay. I guess he thought we were so hungry that we were going to put up with it and stay. No sir, I calmly turned to the waitress and said, "Let's go. I will pay you for the drinks, we will give you your tip, but I cannot be in a tense place like this. I just came here to try it out and have breakfast. If he was closed, he could have said so and we could have tried again another day." She kept apologizing and said, (right in front of him) "Well the owner won't be here on these (following) days so you can come back then and he won't be here and it'll be much nicer. I just looked at her like Ok girl, I hear you but I will not be back. At this point it's 3:45. We got up at 3:38. The time inbetween was him yelling at all of us. I'm not paying someone who yells about cooking, is combative with a customer, and gives dirty looks while serving you. I don't care how hungry I am. I am not giving my hard earned money to someone who responds to me as if I'm beneath the dirt under his shoe. I feel bad for the waitresses to have to put up with him. I will take my money...
Read moreDecided to eat here almost by accident, we just happened to see the place while driving after we had just talked about the establishment. We entered and were met by a pleasant hostess who sat us immediately and in a booth as requested. We ordered an Italian omelette and the Irish eggs Benedict, both were a big disappointment. Before I get to our dishes, the waitress served another table’s food to us, she had to take a moment before realizing it wasn’t our order. The waitress returned the dishes back under the warmers and it took another 5-6 minutes for it to be delivered it to the correct table, felt sorry that couple that had to eat it after sitting that long. This was inexcusable, especially as there was a woman, I’m assuming was part of ownership/management that should be monitoring the window to expedite the food. Poor management by not getting the food out when it hits the window. Apparently, these servers and bus people were not taught to serve food as it hits the window whether it’s their table or not. By the way, I was served my toast during that original mis-service. Now we were served our correct order, with another plate of toast for my breakfast. The waitress stated that I can have both plates of toast, but unexpectedly grabs the toast from one plate with her bare hands and places it atop the other plate of toast, very disgusting IMO (couldn’t eat the toast). Now back to our plates, the Italian omelette was dry, lacking in sausage with a small cup of overly sweet sauce. The sauce was probably from a jar, can’t imagine any serious chef would add so much sugar to it as it was overly sweet and not edible. I couldn’t even finish the dish. The Irish eggs Benedict was just as disappointing, lacked any flavor and the muffin was a squishy mess. Sorry, but I cannot recommend this place for breakfast at the very least. The place feels dreary, dark and depressing. We will...
Read moreCame in with my family Sunday morning. We wanted to give this place another try . We came a year ago and had horrible service. This experience was alot worse and will keep up away this time. The second I sat down a lady came over very rude and yelled “ready to order” . No hello how are you . I told her we needed a second but she then disappeared for over 20 minutes before finally coming to take our order. I understand being busy but this lady was outside smoking. We had to keep reminding her to bring the items we ordered. My daughter never got her juice . I didn’t even get food because i have a very bad allergy to gluten and couldnt take any chances. Normally i would talk to the server about it but again this lady was not friendly. Never smiled . Truly seemed like we were an annoyance to her. Short lady with black hair. She threw the receipt on the table while people were still eating. My husband had a full bowl of soup left and she just throws the bill on the table?? She probably wanted another cigarette. She then told me that she didn’t charge my husband for the soup that SHE forgot . She said it like i should be thanking her . I shouldn’t have to remind my server of simple things like a beverage or appetizer. It should be obvious by now but she never checked up on us or got us refills. This place is so unorganized you cant even tell who the manager is. If you dont have the staff then stop seating tables. Give customers the option to pick if they are willing to wait that long. You dont just seat people and forget about them especially when they have a small child with them. Wont be giving this place a third chance . I suggest having your employees hide when they smoke its very unprofessional especially on a busy weekend morning when you should be working. Not one good thing i can say about this...
