So, I've been hearing about Anthony's from some time now from people who really know their food and where to go to and what is good. So finally Friday was the day to see for myself if what I heard was true. Along with a solid gourmand friend of mine we arrived to a very busy, very clean place. Not only was it well staffed, you could tell everyone had a lot of experience. We ordered stuffed long hots, clams in basil sauce, Caesar salads, shrimp and scallop fra diavolo and the strip steak for which they are renowned. Everything was remarkable. Most notable were the scallops in the pasta, I've never had any so tender and perfectly cooked and the crust on the steak was so photogenic it looked like it could have been Photoshopped. Every dish was carried out very well, all with good solid flavors in all. Our sitting time fthat evening was well over 2 hours and never did we feel we were rushed to turn our table. Now, Old Forge has no shortage of multi generational family run establishments; in my opinion, Anthony's is a prime example of people who know what to do and do it very well, without exception and will be one of my favorite places to become a regular patron.

To all the fine folks at Anthony's, thank you for an excellent dining...

We will never come back! Very poor service. I asked for broiled salmon no Cajun seasoning. I get blackened salmon. I sent it back and she brought me the same piece back and asked if it was any better? I said no, it is the same piece. She said no it was not. I said yes it was. And she kept telling me it was a different pc when clearly it was not when I pointed out to her I tasted it and you could see where I tasted it. Then someone else came over to talk about my meal and started arguing with me over how it was prepared. A customer should have never have to experience 2 people arguing with them about how the food was not properly made. I said to the 2nd woman I do not appreciate her arguing with me. I am telling you how the food was not properly made and you are telling me I am wrong?! Those 2 women made our experience horrible. The 2nd woman made it much worse. What should have happened is bring out the correct food, apologize and be done with it! Not argue. We will not be back. But I do not think that they will care, they take care of the people that they want. There are plenty of excellent restaurants near by and we will go...

We arrived at 7 p.m. on. Friday evening, and quickly realized we should have made reservations, as the place was extremely busy. We waited a little more than 10 minutes before Aiden (more on him later) was able to find us an outdoor table and brought us our drinks. Outdoor seating is on the front sidewalk of the business, where 10 feet away was the busy Friday night South Main Street traffic.

We had to wait an additional 25 minutes before our server came to take our order, but our dinner was brought to us 50 minutes after we arrived.

The 6-slice Old Forge-style "red" pizza was very good. The crust was thick and crunchy, but practically melted in your mouth. We also ordered 8 cuts of the double-crusted white pizza, which consisted of a blend of cheeses stuffed between oven baked pizza dough, topped with oregano and baked onions. That pizza was delicious as well.

Anthony's is worth the trip, but not the wait, especially if you just want some pizza. It is highly recommended to make reservations. If it wasn't for the hustle of the busboy Aiden, our night could have been a disaster. He clearly stepped up and made sure our evening went...

What's up food crew! Came in with a dinner party of 13. On top of them being very busy our servers did not drop the ball or miss a beat. Had a lemon drop martini which was made perfect. Had an appetizer being the stuffed mushrooms with crab meat. This could have been a meal in itself. 3 nice size mushrooms stuffed with crab meat. Delicious. Now for my entree I got linguine with vodka sauce and I added a meatball, holy hell this was a gigantic meatball. Too stuffed for dessert! Everything was delicious and will be back on the future to do a video review. Until next time be blessed and stay safe.

You Need To Know? Arrived shortly after 6 & we were lucky to get a table as most of the restaurant were reserved tables. Our dinner this evening was a Strawberry/Blueberry salad that was absolutely amazing. Could have served as a meal itself. We also had the Homemade Gnocci with meatball, manicotti, & ziti & meatball. These authentic homemade Italian dishes were incredible. Everyone tells you to go to Old Forge for their pizza, no way, stop at Anthony's for their amazing Italian dishes! Now You Know!
