Dooley's Pub & Eatery — Restaurant in Old Forge

Casual Pub bar/restaurant with multiple TVs for watching sports. Menu consist of Tavern / pubs Foods: Burgers, wings, salads, wraps. Small assortment of entrees for those who want an actual dinner. I went with a rodeo burger that consisted of a burger with pickles onions mushrooms barbecue sauce and cheese. Burgers come with one of three types of fries regular, waffle or sweet potato. I chose sweet potatoe which came with the sweet sauce normally served with these fries. Also split a Caesar salad which was fresh and delicious with plenty of dressing. My other half got the so-called giant or jumbo wings which were decent size, pretty plump and tasty. Were covered with a really good sauce which basically tasted like sweet Baby Ray's. The only thing I had a complaint about was one of those so-called jumbo Wings was a very small piece of cauliflower that was covered with sauce. when it was mentioned to the waitress, instead of going back and getting another piece she just said ,"oh my,"and walked away. So7 not 8 pieces. I blame the fact that the help was very, very young and basically inexperienced . They were polite. Aside from that, the bathrooms were very clean ...you know that's my pet peeve. Oh yes and most importantly for the guys, very good beer fill. Plus it was...

Second time in years I had the privilege eating at Dooley's. First time was a few years ago, a bunch if friends and family gathered for a fun night with dinner. Well unfortunately the food didn't come out all together, plus when it did it was lousy..Sooo with that We thought we'd give them a second chance and that was last night. We sat inside because the ND game was on....bar service was excellent, but once again the food came out intermittently. I ordered a hot turkey platter with mashed potatoes..i was the last to be served and it was ice cold, i told the server to take it back there was one slice of turkey and it was smothered with beef gravy, my mashed potatoes came out 15 minutes later. The potatoes were gross,tan in color, they were lined with 1/2" of oil in foil, plus what I thought were dried garlic flakes that hard as a rock...once again I turned that back to the kitchen...there was no compensation for a different meal nor having it taken off the bill...Never Never will Dooley's see my face and the people that surrounded me saw the slop I was feed and they as well will boycott this establishment. Ok…..I hate leaving a negative response. But I was given the option of Mexican at my favorite spot or here….I chose here because it was just easier. Ok …. Was I on the wrong end of thischoice. Had the steak special….AWRONG CHOICE DID I MAKE! Medium to medium well was not a deliverable here; definitely over cooked. Only thing that was good was the draft beer. So, recommend just beer and no food if you select this over your favorite Mexican spot. Also received the steak with a steak knife and was not fortunate to have any silverware until asked for…several minutes after getting the knife. Now I did master cutting the steak as I held the slab of meat with my fingers. You may ask…..did the fingers survive? No mishaps this time. Ok I’m just satisfied with the draft; maybe another and I will forget the horrible food experience. Good luck if you choose this over the favorite Mexican spot.
