I can't believe this. I was just at this restaurant, I was in drive thru and I feel as if the staff here are incapable of doing their job. I wanted a sweet tea and got a severely watered down coke product that was carbonated, my friend had gotten a coke and it stated overall disgusting, and so did one other drink another mutual of mine had gotten. This was horrendous, and I hope the people that made those drinks, or that have even managed to ruin a sweet tea taste what they've made and feel the same amount of disappointment and dissatisfaction that I felt the second I put that vile liquid into my mouth. Shockingly enough, this isn't even the first time they managed to ruin the drink I've gotten. I'm firm on a sweet tea, and half of the time it's an UNsweet tea. If the behind the counter staff are unable to read then why bother putting them someheete they must edit orders? If they can't manage to make a sweet tea, then what allergies can they manage to also put at risk? And it might seem shocking as to why I keep returning back, why would I after they've managed to ruin half of the experience and leave me feeling hopeless and disappointed more times then not? Id tell you why. Im not driving the 15 minutes outwards to another McDonald's for a f*ing sweet tea thats 2 dollars. Thats why. And there isnt anything else as glorious as when they properly make it correct, when it hated as it should and they leave me satisfied and happy with even showing up. I have low expectations anytime I pull into their drive thru, asking for my sweet tea and playing the two dollars I need to pay for a few minutes of pure bliss. Only to taste UNsweet tea, or in this situation a watered down soda beverage. It pains me the second I taste the difference from what should be made, and barley following a simple request of what your job should be done by, more then once, twice, three times and more is atrocious. Yet, I will continue to return. And hold my tongue and go back inside saying that my drink was unsavory and not made correctly. Out of this whole ordeal, the best part about it is I can say that the lovely employee Jess has been amazing and always has had peak customer service. She has always been sympathetic and caring when something would happen where my order would be wrong. She made it feel like water under the bridge and with her being there I know my issue can be efficiently fixed and quickly as well. I hope she finds peace and content with her life, she makes all the difference in the bar for customer service and I hope she always managed to find the good in bad...
Read moreI'm not normally one to post reviews, especially negative ones, but I have to add this one because I just can't take this place anymore. This McDonald's is the absolute WORST McDonald's both my wife and I have ever dealt with in our entire lives. And we've lived all up and down the east coast. They always seem to be "out" of many items on the menu. Very odd as I've never encountered that problem in any other McDonald's even the MUCH more busy ones in this area. After hearing it for the 5th time in a row, you start to wonder if they're really "out" or just don't want to deal with having to make certain menu items at certain times....
The employee turnover rate is really something to see. The employees themselves, generally speaking, never have a smile on their faces and definitely make it known they are really perturbed to have to serve you. They all seem to communicate in one to two word guttural responses to whatever you say. Yes, they are younger kids but I've never had this experience with employees their same age at any other location within NEPA.
Whether you go inside or go through the drive thru, my orders, EVERY SINGLE TIME, are incorrect. Your receipt says one thing and what you actually get is something totally different. To add insult to injury, you end up waiting 15-20 minutes (or longer) for your WRONG order! Don't worry guys, we've got all day. We have nowhere important to be.
When you finally do get your correct order, quality is hit or miss. Sometimes it's great. Most of the time you get the old carton of cold, soggy, limp fries and a sandwich that appears to have been assembled from leftover scraps on top of the garbage can and during a 9.0 earthquake.
I hate ragging on folks, but this place needs to really fix themselves. We make it a point to not go to this McDonald's anymore even when going to the next nearest one is way out of our way. We're not big on fast food in general so this assessment is over a period of a few years. The place is just always a hot mess. Never gets better. Only ever gets worse.
Yeah, end of the day, first world problems. But let's pick up...
Read moreRead before going through the drive-through. I've been a fan of McDonald's since I was a kid. As many have. I couldn't tell you how many of them or the countless visits. I do not like to leave bad reviews and honestly gave a higher score than I normally would because most of the workers have been nice. Due to this location being close to my job, I've had to deal with them. Most of the workers are nice. Food average for them. BUT, the drive-through 9 out of 10 times is infuriating. I deal with it, but if you read this and you're in a hurry, DO NOT risk drive through if there's more than 2 cars. This is what me and 2 of my friends have had happen repeatedly. I place the order, pull up, pay, I am given the drinks, and told there's a wait for fries or the burgers. Not a problem. So you pull around to the spot they say. Now watch the clock. Keep watching. Waiting. So now they like to forget about you. My average wait is 10 to 15 mins. Once I'm not joking, it was 22 mins. McDonald's has this thing where they hurry and park you if it's going to be a bit waiting for items to be cooked because their registers have a timer. If the timer says there are not moving people quick enough, they get in trouble by the owners and corporate. As soon as you pull around, your timer stops. The system says you got your stuff and left. That's why. It's not to be nice and get the next customer. It's the numbers. Most McDonald's the wait isn't bad and understandable. If I had a trophy I'd give it to them for the worst McDonald's drive-through . My hope is one day Corporate or the owners The Mullers will one day catch all their ......crap really and I'll get to go there and get my stuff and go. Yes I could go in, but where I work, I get covered in grease and don't like to be like that in public. I'm sure that's understandable. So go in, but remember the drive-through...
