Let’s start by saying that I gave this business a second chance today. I really hate leaving bad reviews, especially publicly, and on local businesses, but unfortunately I feel as if this is necessary.
My first experience was bad due to unnecessary wait time and miscommunication. The owner/manager was very apologetic and I will say that our food was very good once we received it that day. So we decided to opt for a second chance at some point.
My experience today was all around bad from the start to end. I called and made an order at approximately 6:30 p.m. and was told it would be 30 minutes. I arrived at 7 p.m. and the order was still not done. I waited an additional 20-25 minutes before my order was complete in which I had to get up and ask when my order would be done. I asked the girl to separate one mushroom Swiss burger and fries, she acknowledged and still failed to separate it. I then get home to find that my order was completely all wrong and frankly not good nor hot. I was missing a fry as well as an onion ring order. Well come to find out, the establishment actually doesn’t even have onion rings as asked when placing the order. The establishment only has “onion straws.” I paid $58.11 for a trash meal with horrible service.
I called the restaurant to speak to someone in charge or a manager and was told yet again that the owner was in the hospital. While I hate to hear that, I would suggest that this business get someone who can run a restaurant and knows proper restaurant etiquette as well as managerial skills for if and when someone important is out. Not only was the person rude, laughing and non-helpful, there was no remedy to my complaint or fix to my problem.

Read moreUpon arrival their was 3 employees in the kitchen who hardly acknowledged that we even walked in, when we caught their attention we where told to grab them when we where ready to order. While we looked over the menu one employee was flirting with some boy, and asked him to go back to the walk-in with her. Grabing them when we were ready was not a problem at all I get that it’s dinner time and they were probably busy. So once me and my family had decided what we wanted we got them and it still took several minutes for them to come take our order. Me and my husband ordered the hibachi which comes with soup and salad. We audibly heard the employees say they only had enough soup for one and they would just add water to make two soups. Then we were brought our soup and it was spilled all over me and was not even warm. Then we continued to hear the employees goof off in the kitchen a say “ turn around and catch this in your mouth”. We then got up offered to pay for the food we received as we were really disappointed in the quality of service. The guy working then called the cops on us for “stealing” then threatened to sue us in civil court for not wanting to pay for the food we never received. Read moreOur family recently moved to the Oak Ridge area and there are definitely fewer restaurants than we are used to so we expanded to look at what is offered in the surrounding areas. This was our first experience at Hibachi Pizza and my honest reviews is as follows. There was one table of customers other than us. We ordered at 5:50 and ordered a hamburger and an order of hibachi with soup and salad and some mushrooms as appetizers. At 6:46 we had not been served the salad, soup or the appetizers. We spoke to the other table and they had been waiting for burgers longer than we had and divulged that they were informed that several orders were burnt so they were remaking to go orders. At 6:48, we checked on our order and no part of it had even been started. We requested a refund and will not be back. To make someone wait an hour plus for a salad or a bowl of soup is ridiculous. Good business practice would have been to let us know when we sat down and ordered that there would be a long delay and check in with us sometime within the hour and communicate that they could not manage to serve a salad within an hour.
