Luigi's Pizza — Restaurant in Olyphant

Went to dinner tonight (2/1/16) with a party of 5, including children. We waited 1 hour and 15 minutes to get food. We ordered wings, pizza, pasta, mozzarella sticks, and various appetizers. I asked several times for one particular sandwich because a member of the party had to leave. I just kept being told kitchen issues, and its coming. Finally one meal at a time came within 15 minute time frame. We did not get to eat together. The total experience was a JOKE. I asked to speak to manager (who happens to be owner). The waitress came back over to tell us manager was busy in the bar. I left early and when I walked past the bar, it had one patron, and the owner was speaking to a staff member. He clearly had no interest in our business, our experience, or his restaurant. It's a shame because we try to give business to local small business owners vs the chains. He never came over, but offered free dessert. I never got my pizza that I ordered, and did not take him up on his boxed desserts.. I actually left without eating. Sadly, I cannot recommend this place anymore. I used to love coming here but it's definitely gone down hill pretty quickly. Food orders often are messed up. Drinks are never consistent in how they're made at the bar. Bar staff regularly leave so your dealing with new (and usually inexperienced) bartenders. Owners are hot headed and have a reputation around town for chasing away business. Parking is an absolute nightmare as there is no parking lot, so your stuck with street parking if you can get it. Quality of food is all over the place. Sometimes it's good, other times it's pretty bad. Slow nights they act inconvenienced if you come in an hour or two before close as they want to get ready to close. Excellent italian food and pizza! The portions are always more than I can eat and the staff is very friendly. I have been eating here since 2007 and the staff all knows me and my family and always greets us with a smile. Average prices, but definitely worth it! Great for a friday night with the family, or a romantic date. They also have a bar they put in not too long ago which is nice. They offer carry out, but not delivery, and parking is tight so be prepared to find somewhere to park or limit the amount of vehicles by carpooling.
