I was so excited when this establishment first opened due to it being one of the only dedicated gluten free places in the area. The food is mediocre at best. Some of the prices are okay, understandable for the cost of gluten free flour. Sometimes depending the item the cost is outrageous. Last year we ordered the second largest size cookie tray offered and what we got was honestly laughable for how much it cost. You got a handful a cookies that were extremely small, bites that seemed to be other items just cut into pieces as fillers and thrown in. My last straw was the "special" for valentines day. $65 for 2 salads, 2 entrees ( most options are naturally gluten free so wheres the added cost ?) And 4 cupcakes ???? The vibes from the employees are off. I've never been so uncomfortable in a store/restaurant. Typically when you walk in, you just get stared at without a hello or welcome. You never know if you're bothering them, if they don't want your business, but I won't be returning. There's other restaurants and bakeries in the area that are friendly and accommodating to the celiac community that actually seem to appreciate...
Read moreMy Son and I found this little shop and decided we would stop there. We both were looking for something sweet and thought this would be a nice little spot. I left empty-handed. I’ll be honest I see that they only have two reviews and I am not shocked. They made us feel as if we didn’t belong there like we were in their way or something to the point where I considered walking right out, but I said you know what maybe they’re just busy or something although they didn’t seem very busy. I still considered buying some things until I went to the counter and the one that goes by Louie . Just stood there and looked at me and the other one that goes by Lynn was on the phone, which was understood but at no time did either one of them make any type of conversation I will never go back there. That’s for sure they didn’t really have anything that would draw me back there either, I was very uncomfortable with the way they treated us to the point where I faked forgetting my card because I couldn’t even give them a penny...
Read moreI thought I was spoiled while living in Philadelphia with all the gluten free bakery options, but Lynn and Louie’s surpasses every single one. There hasn’t been a single thing I’ve tried here that wasn’t amazing. Since switching to gluten free, I hadn’t found a cinnamon bun or carrot cake I truly liked. Those used to be my favorite sweets, and at Lynn and Louie’s they’re incredible.
I’ve even tried ordering from gluten free bakeries online to satisfy my sweet tooth, but the texture was always off or the pastries were too dry and disappointing. The bread here is just as impressive. It’s soft, flavorful, and has quickly become a staple in my home.
10/10 bakery, and the staff is...
