Barroco Wine Bar — Restaurant in Omaha

Upon entering, we were met with a cool European vibe. The server took our drink orders, and we received our drinks in a timely manner. However, while we were enjoying our drinks, a situation occurred, and my party felt that the management at Barroco didn't handle it correctly.

While we were enjoying our drinks, an extremely intoxicated man sitting at the bar fell off his chair and floundered on the floor. Someone from my party helped him up and back into his chair, which he fell out a second time. My friend helped him back up into his chair, and the drunk man and his friend were eventually kicked out. On their way out, they stopped at our table and tried to start a conversation, telling us we should buy a $300 bottle of wine.

Once the two guys left, the manager came by and apologized, mentioning that we were all going to be taken care of, especially because someone in my party helped the drunk guy off the floor. When it came time to pay our bill, no one was given a discount, and we were all charged full price despite the manager telling us we were going to be taken care of. We are a pretty laid-back and understanding group, and we were okay with not getting a discount, but it was a pretty unpleasant experience, and we do wish the manager had followed up on her word.

I had my daughter’s bridal shower here at Barroco Wine bar about a month ago on a Sunday afternoon!! Everyone involved was easy to work with to plan the event ~ room set up, decorations, menu, drinks, & staff needed for the celebration!! The food we ordered came from the venue & also cheese & veggie trays from HyVee!! They took care of ordering the food and picking it up and having it ready for the 2:00 shower! All of the hors-devour type food was “spot on” along with the large batches of Sangria they prepared and served in a punch bowl.
