Very nice layout, the layout is simple yet elegant, very inviting. The artwork is visually appealing.. Hostess was quick and courteous.. Our waitress is knowledgeable of the menu, prompt and professional.. We started off with the meatball boat... Delicious, excellent flavors, portion size is large. Tender moist meatballs with amazing flavor.... Belly button soup, I very much enjoy it, and dipping the table bread (truffle spread is fantastic), my wife loves the broth but not a huge fan of the tortellini in it.. I however enjoy all of it... My wife and I ordered the same entrees, Housemade pasta combo.. I will breakdown and review each pasta.. Tortellini, smaller than most Americans are accustomed to, but, they are perfect, the sauce is rich, thick, creamy, with bacon.. Ravioli, perfectly cooked, nice flavor... Canneloni, absolutely delicious. I could eat this everyday... And lastly, the lasagna.. I grew up on authentic lasagna, I love this lasagna... if you are not familiar with a hearty lasagna, a full flavored lasagna, this might be a unique experience, but I'd recommend trying it.. If I had to pick a favorite pasta from this combo, that Canneloni was perfection. However, all of it was superb... Dessert... My wife is trying the Lithuanian torte... This is perfectly made, my wife said she would come back just for this... I am having the tiramisu.. This is a sentimental dessert for me, I've had it at many places, these folks made it right... Final thoughts, if you are wanting delicious Italian food, properly prepared, come to Pasta Amore. The staff are great, our waitress Nicole was amazing... This is a 5/5 and we highly recommend..

Awful. Went for dinner ona weekend night and it was not very crowded. Things started off good. We ordered the crushed olives and the minestrone soup. Those came out within a reasonable time. The crushed olives was decent pwith plenty of olives mixed with garlic, peppers, carrots, and a few other things. It was tasty and enough for 4 people. The minestrone was very good. Full of fresh ingredients, but not too salty. The portion size was a bit small. Unfortunately, while the waitress was clearing the appetizers she informed us that the kitchen was behind and that dinner would take awhile. We waited and waited and waited. About an hour later, we finally received our meals of bucatini with marinara sauce and rigatoni with vodka sauce. Had they told us the wait would have been even half that long, we would have gone elsewhere. The place was depressing as everyone was angry about the wait time. It is quite poor management to allow such absurd wait times in a half empty restaurant, to make the waitress inform the customers of the issue, and to never come over to our table at all. How long could it possibly take to prepare 2 of the most simple dishes out there. The food was not worth the wait. The vodka sauce was average on a good day. The marinara was bland and no better than the stuff that comes out of the jar at the grocery store. There was not much authentic about this place other than the wait. The bucatini was homemade but not worth the ridiculous wait. The waitress did her best under the circumstances and should consider going to work at a place that cares about the customer.

Disappointing. I think that’s the best way to describe my first, and likely last, time at Pasta Amore.

My party of 4 arrived around 7 p.m. This weekend, hoping for a nice dining experience. And it was until the end . . .

What went wrong? Plastic and hair in my tiramisu, no apologies from the manager themselves, barely warm $5 cappuccino, and wasted leftovers - due to poor packaging. Read on to find out more.

As for apps, the calamari was fairly good. I enjoyed the marinara. The squid legs were very rubbery, but the rings weren’t. The meatball boat was a disappointment to me, but the others liked it.

My husband got the Linguine Amore in spicy red sauce, keep that in mind for later. I ordered the Quattro Formaggi, which I felt could do without the balsamic - but it was tasty. The steak tips were very tender. In fact, for $32 I decided to save half to enjoy for the next day. The waitress thought it was a good idea, even after I questioned her, to put them in the same container. Which means, yes. My husband’s spicy tomato seafood dish completely ruined my steak and cheese dish. A complete and utter waste of money. Something that could have been avoided, had some proper thinking been evoked. For a side note, our two friend’s (both married) were out in separate containers. No excuse.

They seemed to like their Veal Marsala and Saltimbocca. I envy the fact they can eat their leftovers.

Now comes the event that happened after the questioning of the packaging of my food, which I was told was separate, dessert.

3 cappuccinos, a decaf, 2 tiramisus, 1 large, and 2 mini cannolis later. My cappuccino was lukewarm, almost room temperature - if not slightly under. However, I gave the waitress a break and sucked it up. Well, as I’m enjoying my tiramisu I tasted something strange. First is a darker hair, which was a course texture - followed by a piece of plastic wrap. No. I wish I was joking. I almost threw up. I still want to. I told the waitress, who said she’d tell her manager. At no point did the manager come over. Which was shocking. And really made this experience even worse.

I couldn’t have left sooner. And on top of that, after arriving home I unboxed my leftovers and saw the mess. For over $100 dollars. Yes, $100+ not including a very generous tip - that was added. I felt extremely ripped off, nauseous, and upset.

So, yes. Ruined leftovers. Plastic wrap. Hair. Lukewarm cappuccino. And no apology from the manager or even a check-up.

I will...

The food here was decent, and that is being generous. We went to this restaurant based on the other reviews given, and please take my word for it. It is less than deserving of the comments.

First off, the service was nice when we first got there, she was kind, prompt, and helpful with suggestions. This is where the positive comments stop.

  1. We ordered mozzarella sticks that I would very much like to believe came out of a box. Matter of fact, I could probably get better quality out of the freezer section at trader joe's for half the price.

  2. We were brought what looked to be home-made bread rolls while we waited. Not only were they very bland and tasteless, the server used the bread bag to put our left overs in at the end of the evening. Guess they were not home-made after all. (On a side note, she was looking out for our best interest using the bag so the box wouldn't leak, and for that I thank her!)

  3. The prices here were very high, and we were fine with that assuming the quality of the food matched. We were mistaken. Three of us got three different dishes, each just as bland as the next. Not only was is lacking taste, but they were very small portions for the cost they hold.

  4. Soon after, that evening, one of our party claimed to feel sick from the food. The next day, I personally finished their left overs, and I too felt ill. I cannot pin point what it was, but something was not right.

  5. To end the evening, the waitress asked us if we were ready for the check, and we said yes. After 10 or so minutes went by, she passed our table with dishes for another, and claimed she would have our check out soon. (Mind you this was not a very busy night.) It took about 15 more minutes for our check to arrive. I don't know what the hold up was, and usually we are very understanding, having been servers ourselves. But none the less, this was uncalled for.

To sum it up, the food and service were decent to say the least, and the prices were way too high for the...

very friendly and attentive servers! Feb 13 25

Reservation for 7:30 - seated 20 minutes later. Had to stand awkwardly in an overcrowded door way. (No big deal)

House Pinot was good would have again. lemon drop martini for the lady (also good)

Antipasto- meatball boat - served and looked good. Server said, “careful it’s hot” the only thing hot about that app was the microwave that heated it up. Plate was hotter than the meatballs and the sauce. Made me think they microwave the food since the inside of the meatball was cold. ate it, 5.5/10 not a biggie.

zucchini app - weird sauce and topping combo. Bland. No flavor would not recommend.

Caesar salad - fire Bread focaccia and butter - best I ever had, great. So good.

Entrees: Shrimp scampi - oh god. The shrimp was ight, very mid. The pasta was clumped up and gross. The plate looked like it came out of the fridge. Dull bland and sad. Had two bites, ate all the shrimp cuz protein.

Alfio chicken ?? - chciken was dry, bland and looked like it came from the pre cooked bags of chicken from grocery store. Terrible. The plate was grey and dull. No color no life and the noodles were bland as well.

Not sure what home they make this pasta at but there’s nothing homemade about it. The server had the audacity to ask us for boxes, politely declined and asked for the check.

Tipped 20 percent and didn’t make a fuss. Great for a weekday dinner or lunch where you want a large portion of subpar Italian. By no means a special occasion restaurant. Plates should be $12-18 with their current product. Over priced.

Nothing special, I think they can continue to succeed by targeting the elders who have lost their taste buds.

Decor needs work.

service was good, employees were all...
