Brownie Bar Bakery — Restaurant in Omaha

There is no soap in men’s and women’s bathroom I find it concerning that they are handling food without washing their hands with soap…….

So you’re telling me that your employees go to the restroom and then go back to the kitchen prep area to wash their hands how is that sanitary??? If you look at this picture there is no soap in your soap dispenser at all

I need to comment again on this review because we just recently visited the Brownie Bar again and when I went to the bathroom there was at least soap this time in the dispenser but I noticed this notification that the owner of Brownie Bar posted on the trash cans in the restrooms.

In his notification warning people to not put food in the trash he openly admits “Do not put food in the trash …. These restrooms are NOT cleaned everyday” What?????!!!!????

This is a restaurant a FOOD establishment and according to the department of health commercial food service businesses, restaurants etc are expected to clean their restrooms EVERYDAY and depending on customer population per day are expected to clean several times a day. I find it very disturbing that this place of business that sells food doesn’t clean their restrooms everyday at least every morning before opening. Maybe if you cleaned your restrooms everyday like you’re supposed to you would notice more often when you’re out of soap. Last visit ever.

We really wanted to like this place because we're foodies and love dessert food most of all. Unfortunately, this place charges boutique prices for very mediocre or even poor product offerings. We got a mint chocolate brownie sundae. The toppings were alright, the brownie was kinda dry, firm, and not super flavorful, the ice cream was outright disappointing (very hard, not flavorful, seemed to be cheap vanilla from a plastic tub like you might get from a gas station), and the portions were low for the price. For the price of one sundae you could get a Betty Crocker dark chocolate brownie mix and a Ben & Jerry's pint of ice cream and then you'd get many more servings. Would recommend going to Ted & Wally's, Coneflower Cremery, Dairy Queen, or Culver's instead unless they shift up their product stack or lower...

The girls and I at work were excited to try something different from our regular "cookie" treat and got the flight. Boy were we disappointed. The traditional had no flavor and only tasted OK after putting the peanut butter topping on it. The blondie also had no real flavor to it and was only made slightly better with toppings. The dark chocolate finally had some hint of chocolate flavor, but again was only made enjoyable by adding peanut butter and heath. All other toppings were a huge disappointment. I guess you never know until you try something. Definitely not for those looking for a sweet treat. We'll stick to...
