I went to the Rockbrook Village location for I got an email stating come to our regrand opening and see whatās new. I made a point to drive 30 minutes and didnāt see anything about a regrand opening, wasnāt greeted when I went inside, noticed only 4 kinds of bread, no scones, no cookies, no mini cinnamon rolls, no butters, no jams, and no soup mixes. When I was studying what breads were there the person said what can I get you in a rather rude voice. I did place an order for a white loaf and a honey wheat loaf. Didnāt ask if there anything else, didnāt say whatās new, and when I had trouble reading the card reader you would have thought I was asking for the impossible when I asked for help. There were 4 people in there but only 1 person was asked if they wanted a sample of bread and she seemed to know the people in the back. My bread came with no label or nutrition information which was always there in the past.
Iām happy there is new owners but it seems the home friendly atmosphere is gone, no more monthly breads, sweet breads, butter or jams which I bought often for gifts. No more information on the breads and the feeling like you matter as a customers is gone. I guess after 25 years I will need to find...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI work with special needs people and brought a group in on a community inclusion outing. We got free slices of bread that were offered and bought 2 loaves of bread. Tward the end of our trip the man behind the counter told us that we had to go. One of our group went back in to use the restroom and she was told by the same man that she better hurry up or we would leave her. Another man hollered out from the door something about a loaf of bread after she exited the building. Upon investigation by staff they accused her of stealing a loaf of bread. Places we go people are understanding that our group is special needs and we watch after and care for them during our outings. The rudeness we experienced at this location was unfounded...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFinally made the 25 minute drive here! It smells great when you walk inside. The sandwiches taste pretty good, I can see why people love the bread! Was a little frustrated because when we got there at 5:25pm they informed us we couldn't order any hot sandwiches (which we were planning on...) because they'd already turned the oven off for the day... They don't close until 6:30pm so why is it turned off so early? I didn't see anything about that on the website either, which we checked before making the drive. Then once we got home 1 of the 3 sandwiches wasn't right... Ordered a Baja Chipotle Turkey and was given a Veggie Baja insteadš Maybe just a weird day? Maybe if we're ever in the area again we will give it...
