I WOULD TAKE MY MOM TO METHODIST FOR KEMO TREATMENTS & SHE ALWAYS BELIEVED STOPPING BY GOLDBERG'S ON THE WAY HOME BACK TO MEAD NEBRASKA THEIR BLOODY MARY'S KEEP HER FROM LOOSING HER HAIR!!! THEN WHEN I MOVED TO OMAHA I LIVED BLOCKS AWAY FROM GOLDBERG'S I WOULD TAKE MY KIDS IN FOR THEIR FAVORITE MALTS AND CHEESEBURGER'S AND PLAYED A COUPLE PICKLES AS WELL!!! THEN IN THE MID 80'S I WORKED FOR NOGG BROTHER'S PAPER COMPANY AND I SOLD DICK & GENE ALOT OF PAPER SUPPLIES!!! AND MY YOUNGEST DAUGHTER ENDED UP WORKING FOR BARB WHO WORKED AT GOLDBERG'S IN THE MID 80'S THEN BARB WAS A MANAGER AT A GOLF COURSE & THEN HIRED MY DAUGHTER PROBABLY 15 YEARS LATER IT WAS CRAZY!!! Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe cooks were handling all food with their bare hands. We never saw one of them wash their hands once. A cook handled trash and then turned around and plated food. A dishwasher would wash a few dishes and then turn around and plate food. They were all wiping their hands on their apron. The cooks reached their barehands into the pickles, then the chips, then handled meat. We saw one cook take a slice of Swiss cheese spin it on his bare finger and then put it on a burger. We also saw a cook grab dirty plates, dump them and then turned and grab a clean plate and grabbed food with his bare hands and plated food. The bartender we talked to who was acting manger because there was not a manager on duty listened to our concerns but didnāt seem to care. A couple members of our group did try some alcoholic beverages - they indicated the beer list is pretty basic, but were all quite satisfied with their drinks. Further, the one who got the bloody Mary was very happy with it, and many others in the group agreed that it was fantastic. The wait staff we had was excellent - despite being a rather large party, and being in charge of tables at far ends of the restaurant. They did include the gratuity in the total bill, as is their policy for tables of 6 or more, but it was definitely earned.
