On Saturday night 27th of September I picked up a doctor who flew in from California and raved about your food on how I been going to this drive through for over 15 years and it matched up with the authentic food out of Cali.
This was our first stop before I drove him to where he needed to be after flying all day. I do want to say there was nobody in your drive-thru not in front of us are behind us.
The young lady who was working had to be the most RUDEST person I’ve ever encountered through a drive-thru. I could barely get any words out before she kept saying anything else! I had to count at least eight times that she did this to me.. I felt like I was completely rushed, and I kept looking at the doctor and saying I’m sorry this is not normal. She was very short she wasn’t listening to anything we were saying she just wanted us out of the drive-thru. Maybe it was her age, maybe it was her not wanting to be on the intercom. Maybe she hated her job so much that she just didn’t respect anybody who was coming through that drive-thru. When we got to the window, she didn’t ask us if we needed anything, like salsa or condiment there’s nothing that she asked just continued to show us disrespect by her attitude. She just gave us our bag after we paid. Going back to when we were ordering in the drive-thru we asked for two bags of the carrots and the jalapeños because…. I did praise how spicy they were Knowing that this doctor enjoyed spicy Mexican food. When we got the bag, there was nothing in it but the two boxes, so I started to ask her about it and had told her that she was being very rude. That’s when she showed her true colors. She started smiling and walked away laughing matter of fact I could see her going all the way to the front counter area (Maybe it was your refrigerator) I watched her as she opened it up. Removed the two bags of carrots and jalapeños, and still laughing. She knew I was keeping an eye on her. I actually was worried about what she was going to do the food. We do know with that restaurants when they hand you things and if the customer feels they don’t like you they can do something horrible to your food, I think that’s just a common factor that everybody feels in the back of their mind.
When she came back to the window, I asked her why she was laughing was it because of what I said about her being rude of course there was no apology. Her only comment was I can smile can’t I? ?? With a big smirk on her face and complete attitude, She said it in such a rude way I was just appalled on how we were treated. I even said that I’ve been coming there forever and that this was the first time this is ever happened to this young girl as I’m apologizing to the person I’m with.. I wanna ask why there was nobody in front of us nobody behind us. Why were you in such a hurry? Why did you treat us so rudely?? Are you related to the people who own the business that you feel you could do that to the general public, whom lives in this community or even if I didn’t live in this community why would you do this? I belong to the neighborhood programs and I wanted so badly to tell them what happened on the site. I deserve an apology and our community does not deserve to be treated like this. I think she needs new training. Please train her correctly or let her go. This is the kind of person that should not be working with the public. I will remove my review after we receive an apology and I know that she’s been trained with etiquette and to respect all people who come to their establishment, we did nothing wrong, but spend our money there. I hope no one encounters...
Read moreI had heard about Lina's from a family member and had to stop by. This place is quite hidden away! I had seen this place many times as I was in and out of Super Saver as it is very visible from this parking lot, not so much from the road. Well the trip is well worth it for the quality nd quantity of food you are getting for the value. The menu is the first thing you notice, for the small size of the restaurant the menu is MASSIVE! You order at the counter like most fast food spots and there are a few places to sit inside or in the parking lot and also there is a drive-thru. The major perk is that this place is 24 hours and serves everything all-day!
Pros:
Food - The taste of the food is amazing and probably the closest thing to authentic mexican food you will find in Nebraska. My meal came with a side of Spanish rice which was mouthwatering and perfectly spiced. Refried beans - a little salty and bland but helped me offset the extreme spiciness of the salsa I added too much of on my Chimichanga.
Portion - This could be seen as a con to anybody trying to watch thier weight. Come hungry and you will not leave unsatisfied. The portions are huge. The items they have listed under appetizer are full sized meals! Bring a few others if you plan on grabbing any of the appetizers. We ordered nachos and had to bring almost all of it home.
Price - The price is cheap for what you are getting. A single burrito costs about $4.00 and is made in a huge tortilla and filled full of meats and veggies (whatever you ordered). You are definitely getting the most bang for your buck here. This place runs about half the price that you will pay at many other similar restaurants.
Speed - Food came out almost instantly and very hot. This is always a plus when eating out. Cold food can be the worst!
Cons:
Seating - For plus-sized patrons like myself seating is tight! The booths are far too small for anybody who isn't thin (talking under 1X here). So I happily took a seat at the back bar counter. Only to find these stationary barstools were far too close together. Felt like I was eating on top of my husband who was seated right next to me. Also if you are short there is no foot rest to put your feet on so your legs will be dangling or you will be holding yourself up on your tiptoes like I was.
Dishes - Or really lack there of. I was served my meal on a styrofoam plate with a flimsy plastic fork. Does nothing to cut through a chimichanga. No idea what they were thinking when they implented this. -_- sigh
With that all said save yourself the headache of going inside if you won't be comfortable and take this home to eat on real dishes if that...
Read moreI was driving home late from work one night and Google a spot to stop and grab some dinner go and this place popped up. It had a great score and no horrible comments so I headed that way. The fact it's a dive doesn't scare me but I can't stand the generic food menus. I see them alot for Chinese and Mexican resturants. I instantly thought CRAP! Then oh give it a shot! They had added to the cookie cutter menu with lovely notebook paper and black marker. I got chicken enchiladas for around 7$ my guy a burrito around 6$. Now this is where I got screwed. I ordered chips and salsa for 4$ then chips and this queso they were advertising 2 sizes one for about 6$ the other for 8$. I did get the smaller size but hey I got chips and salsa to. I get I big bag and I head off. I unload the bag to find our food and 2 small I mean like buffalo wing ranch size small salsas. I have only one bag of chips which I guess worked out since my queso was in a container that is seriously half the size of a mini shake cup tgat you would get from Wendys. My enchilada was packed with plain boiled tasting chicken that was covered in sauce that was so bland it had to come straight out of a can. My guy was not impressed with the burrito either and laughed at the queso cup and went to Runza...So I spent almost 30$ to end up still hungry. So I ended up running down to the taco truck that's posted at mega saver on center to spend 6$ to get 3 nice size tacos that he put 2 cups each of his 3 salsas...ugh sorry but I'm telling yeah save your money they won't be their long serving...
