Delicious food, with decent to great drinks, but with some issues. Price point for some food items was higher than other places for comparable items.

Drinks:

Lifes a beach 5 star? 10 This was not my drink, but both my friends who sampled was very happy. To the point of wanting to make it at home.

Virgin mai thai 3.5 stars 5 Pineapple flavor , very tart, I asked for something sweet and not tart. As a drink it itself it was fine, but the bartender came up with a better item.

Basil and black cherry mocktail 5 stars 5 Would order it again

Food:

Flatbread pizza 4.5 stars 14 Hot, crispy and cheesy

Brussel sprouts 5 stars Forgot the pricing Loved the sauce it was in. Our table wanted to dip it in other things.

Fried chicken 4.5 stars 24 more similar to Korean fried chicken then the other places I've been to in the city. I'm not overly fond of the sauce, but that's a personal preference. Would have liked if there was another flavor option. It is super crispy and the batter is relatively light. Fries were slightly addictive, surprising since I don't generally prefer that style.

Thai stew 5 stars 26 We felt like there was sufficient seafood in this bowl. Flavor was very good. There was a nice spiciness to it. Wish there was more rice included in it, but if you want more, you need to pay. Extra rice +2 dollars

Korean short ribs 4-4.5 26 flavoring was great. Generally a solid dish.

Scallops 3.5 stars 27 these were fine, but not exceptionally memorable for me.

Desserts Nanaimo bar 3.5 stars I'm from Canada where Nanaimo bars are quite common. This was a pretty typical one. I need to add, I'm also not normally a fan of them, but as it was standard, if you like them, you might like this a lot.

Citrus cheesecake 4 stars Good cheesecake. I prefer mine smooth, so if you like yours with a bit more rigidness and heft, this would be for you.

Service We were seated very close to another table. So much so that when the server was trying to walk between the two tables, she had difficulty squeezing through at one point. I was sitting at the edge of my chair, but if we are 6 feet apart (I'm also 5'3, pretty short and slim), that shouldn't be an issue. My friend and I asked for our drinks in pineapple glasses. We were informed that normally those are only reserved for alcoholic drinks but she would see what she could do. They accommodated our request for virgin drinks in the pineapple glasses. She asked if basil and black cherry was ok. I asked if it was tart. She said she wasn't sure. Asked if we preferred sweet or tart. My friend said tart, I said sweet. When delivered, my drink was much more tart than hers.

Throughout the evening, there was a sense of uncomfortableness. I was unsure what it was, but after the meal, my friend mentioned that he noticed it (I did not say anything to him at the time) and that it was directed more specifically at my other female friend and myself. The other issue was the lack of social distancing between tables. We will note all staff was wearing a mask.

There is a Pokestop outside which makes it convenient for pokemon players. There is a large parking lot which makes it...

I've read other reviews that complained about the service but if you come during happy hour on a Tuesday you might have the place to yourself. That said, this review is strictly about the food as we didn't experience any issues with service on our visit. Side note - if you sit outside you'll get to experience the sound of two competing outdoor speaker systems playing different music simultaneously. Anyway, onto the food.

As we do, my wife and I ordered a smattering of food so that we could "taste the menu" so to speak. Here are our selections and my general thoughts about each. Pictures attached for reference.

J.D.F Taco: this was the best thing we tried and the only thing we'd come back for. It is definitely worth making these a meal, although that would be pricey.

Ceviche: Nothing to write home about. For $16 I expected a bigger serving.

North Shore Fries: the fries themselves were great! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and seasoned very well. The shrimp looked like they were going to blow us away but the first bite left us feeling...confused. 🤔 How can anything caked in "spices" taste like, well, nothing? These definitely look WAY better than they taste. Try the fries, they're worth it, just temper your expectations on the shrimp.

Mulligatawny: This was pleasant, though not much for spice. The menu should say "sweet curry" rather than spicy curry.

Wild Halibut: This was the most disappointing dish. This $33 meal was a tough, dry sliver of halibut with an odd tapenade that never penetrated the fish. It had a tough outer layer reminiscent of jerky and again, no flavor. The purple potatoes were under done, and the cherry tomatoes do not go with this dish at all. It is a confused variety of flavors that is poorly executed. Avoid.

Overall, 3 stars ⭐ because we're going to go back to try a few other items before making a final determination. For now, Pacific Eating House does not live up...

It’s not often I write bad reviews but this one is definitely necessary after many years of having worked in a restaurant in many different positions personally….

We came for dinner on a Friday night and as expected it was busy but we were surprisingly the only people on the waitlist. We were shoved off into a corner by the hostess with no great place to wait with our family with small children. After about 15 minutes, a family left and we were offered a table behind us that would be ready “soon.” After cleaning it off we were then told we still couldn’t sit at this table for ten more mins while our server was getting caught up. After fifteen more minutes we finally were sat at said table, and another 8-10 for our server to arrive.

Customer service wise- this experience was total crap. The hostess could have sat us at the table and just told us it would be a bit which would have changed everything. Instead we had to stand with two young kids in the way of all restaurant traffic for absolutely no reason. As our first experience to this restaurant we are unimpressed. We are new to Omaha and love trying new places and having places to recommend to travelers of my husbands company- this one won’t make that list.

Picture of our table attached that was cleaned and ready after a few mins but unable to be sat at...
