There was A LOT of anticipation entering into my first culinary experience with Runza.
I want to set the record straight tonight - Runza not only exceeded expectations; it trumped them.
While we debated what to order in the drive-thru line, our server was so doggone attentive that he waited on our every breath. It was as if for 30 seconds our neurons interacted and our minds became one as he detailed every facet of our order correctly.
When I came to, we were in the parking lot and our other server was coming out to deliver our hard-earned prize.
“Isgonlok” she said courageously — illustrating the selfless sacrifice she was making by holding open the door to feed us despite the great personal danger she was in.
We ripped open our bag and devoured our treasured Ranza.
My first bite of the “classic” was intoxicating. I nearly lost consciousness again as the meat drippings and cabbages coursed through my gums and down my throat.
The onion rings were crisp and split with ease. However I will admit they needed more seasoning. Conveniently that is a battle our ranch dip was up to.
Let me summarize for the haters out there...
The Highs: Bakery fresh bread with all the drippings Cabbage - can’t get enough of it Onion rings - crispiest in the country
The Lows: The fact that there isn’t a Runza on every f#@&ing corner of every f#@&ing...
Read moreI love Runza, but I keep telling myself not to come back to this location. The food is good as always, but the dining in atmosphere can be unbearable. The young African American girl working drive thru has very loud, inappropriate conversations with her coworkers almost everytime I dine in - completely obvious to the customers who are eating and/or in line to order. I end up feeling uncomfortable nearly every time she is working due to the things she says to others and it ruins my experience. A couple of months back, she told a coworker that she thought she might have the flu, but wanted to stay to make money... AFTER she had handed me my food and I had almost finished it... Yesterday was the final straw for me - while eating yet again, after hugging a male coworker for a while behind the counter, I heard her tell a coworker that she was going to go use the bathroom and asked him if he wanted to know why... I promptly tossed the rest of my food and left. Being nonconfrontational, I have refrained from asking to speak to management every time this happens, but it's...
Read moreWhat exactly are the hours of this store? Online says they are open until 10pm. We arrived at 830pm and doors were locked so we went through the drive up which was still open. Two cars ahead of me, one car had ordered and the other car couldn't get anyone to take the order so they pulled out of line and left. We eventually got our order placed after being told to "hang on". I'm not sure why they were so busy be cause the doors were locked. It took 19 minutes to get our food from the time we got in the drive thru line. The drive thru window looked like it was being ran by 3 high school kids who were more interested in socializing and goofing around than working. While sitting in line for our food the lights inside the restaurant were turned off and it wasnt even 9pm. Again, your web page says 10pm closing. Even if your closing time is truly 9pm, why were your doors locked at 830pm and why are your lights off before 9pm??? Vety poor customer service in my opinion!!! Food was nothing special and quite honestly McDonalds would have...
