Dan's Pizza — Restaurant in Onawa

To start with I have had Dan's Pizza twice in the 3 years I've live in Onawa. Both time my experience was not good. After the first attempt i thought id try again in an attempt to support local business. The second attempt (tonight) is the experience i want to talk about. My order for delivery was initially placed at 4:45pm. I was told that it would be about an hour. I live roughly 3 blocks from Dan's. I ordered 2 of the chicken strip baskets, 20 spicy wings, and a streusel pizza for dessert. The food did not arrive until 6:38pm. The food was luke warm at best. The fries were extremely unseasoned, the chicken strips hard as rocks, the wings so unspicy my 5 year old could have eaten them, and the streusel pizza was more like streusel topping thrown on top of a saltine cracker. Pizza was not served piping hot and seemed to be store bought, not fresh made. No beer sold here, and soda was from cooler in the corner. A family came in for a birthday party with crackpots and outside food, which they served off the pool table with a few pizzas. They took up most of the seats in the place. This really affected the service, since they seemed to be related to owner/manager - kids had access to kitchen. Management also was trying to supervise delivery service. Very disappointing pizza experience. Ordered a large Supreme with thick crust. The girl who took my order doesnt bother tell me they don't serve thick crust, only paper thin crust. To make matters worse, they forgot the pepperoni. The pizza was flavorless, didn't even have red sauce. I called and told them and the response was "Really, weird." We just drove 1,700 miles from Florida, we were weary and hungry, looking forward to a nice meal and quite frankly the gas station food we ate along the way was...
