This was one of the worst meals I have ever had!! There was very little chcice and what was there was picked over; mostly juice with a few green beans, the collards were half cooked and mostly stems. The cornbread was dry and hard, and mashed potatoes were dry and from a box. We were told they would bring our drinks but part way through our meal I went and asked if we could get a drink WHILE we were eating!! They finally brought us a drink out . One young man was behind the counter and while we were there, he brought out a pan of peach cobbler. It had very few peaches and was mostly a thick, soggy bread-like substance with no taste. There was zero juice, just the few peach pieces in that thick, soggy mess. That was the only thing he brought and most of the pans were empty with the rest nearly empty. The time was 1:20 pm so lunch rush was over when we got there! He then proceeded to stir all the pots, add crackers to the container and fluff up the salad ingredients. There was basically just 4 vegetable choices, green beans, collards, some kind of hot pepper with various beans soup stuff and the dry mashed potatoes. There was some kind of unrecognizable meat and that was ALL!!! For way less than $24, I can open and heat up a couple cans of beans, boxed potatoes and some rolls, a package of cookies and have a much better meal! The building is old and outdated, very shabby and crowded. The staff were polite but useless. All together a very unpleasant experience. We will not go back. The place must have changed owners because the food was good a few years ago!

Small restaurant but a really good buffet. If you want meals like home cooked then try them out! Peach cobbler is unbelievable.

We were second to be seated upon opening. We filled our plates and I put mine down to fix a salad. Coming back, I noticed my son’s face had an unpleasant look. I asked him what was wrong. He said, “Mom, I can’t eat this food. It is disgusting. It’s making me sick.” I thought he meant that he didn’t feel good. He said, “no, mom. It tastes so bad that I want to throw it back up.” He literally had three bites. He left his full plate and went to the car. My nephew was next. He couldn’t eat the meat, but ate a couple bites of mac n cheese. I took a few bites of the meat and slimy fried green tomato. All three of us left full plates because the food was that disgusting. I couldn’t swallow the meat and spit it into my napkin. After getting in the car, my son informed me that the food was “just like Grandmother’s nursing home food.” He was right. It was flavorless and preprocessed. I looked around and realized that we were the only younger people there. Everyone was geriatric. They did comp my son’s meal since he only ate a tablespoon of food. By then, I was too frustrated to let them know that the one bite I ate had been spit out. If you like bland, canned food then it is the place for you. If you like anything else, I can’t...

I (as part of a group) have been several times for lunch over the past year. It’s okay would be the best I could say. A lunchtime buffet is a hard thing to maintain and they do try to keep everything full, hot, fresh, and clean and they do usually have the people to make it happen, this visit just did not meet expectations. Best menu items for me would be the chicken fingers and the fried mushrooms. There is plenty of seating available. I may or may not go back it would completely depend on the mood and if I was in a group again. Parking is an issue. You may have to use a parking space across the street from their parking lot if it’s during...
