Dollar General — Local services in Oneonta

If I could give this store a 0 I would. I was in the area, and had to stop in for a few items night before last. As I entered the store, the floors were filthy, there were items all over the floor throughout the store. The cashier was friendly, but the other two employees were outside smoking and laughing and not doing anything to help the cashier who was bogged down with customers. As I finally reached the counter, the countertop was covered in slimey film. To the left of the registers there were multiple racks blocking items on the wall, which could have been a huge hazard for a small child. I truly hope this isn't a normal occurrence and they just had an off beat night...

Started off getting an item but the ladies were so friendly and I found myself shopping a little more, things I needed but thought I was too tired. They'll stop if they aren't waiting on someone and show you or tell you about items you may have missed. Just fun. Very nice people work there. It's not just a job for them. Even help you with a problem with your phone. If you are like me and don't have a lot of techy experience....

This is definitely a lower end DG. Not one of the "upscale" stores (lol), it's un-updated, small and the selection is poor. Also it's in a fairly busy area but usually only has one cashier so lines can get very long. Not recommended, especially since Walmart is 3 or 4 minutes down the road, or Hometown Market if you are shopping for food and want to support...
