Came in .. waited a few mins .. a sweet lady came to sit us .. as she was a waiter told her to sit him so she back tracked to his section.. sat us .. she brought us chips and salsa, he came like 10 mins later .. we was ready for food order and drink and all .. took drink order .. then just took off ,, my dad was trying to talk to him .. then during the food order he rolled his eyes and Huffed ... bc I asked for milk for my son and an extra plate ... We already ate breakfast late so we didn't want much but my father wanted good Mexican food .. the food came out quickly but it was horrible. The meat was definitely old and burnt tasted like it was in a warmer and back to a cooler for 3 days ... Taco salad was the worst Iv ever had a half slice of tomato no cheese and just lettuce.. no I didn't want sour cream ,avocado didn't even have flavor tasted like it was uncovered and left in the cooler over night ... He kept sitting ppl in his section while the hostes kept having to serve chips and salsa.. if he can't keep up with the tables and he is drowning in the weeds then another waitress or waiter needs to be sat ... Kitchen needs a lot...
Read moreThis is the best of all the El Patrón restaurants in the area and the best Mexican food restaurant we've been to in Alabama. The atmosphere is authentic. The food is top-notch and has outstanding flavor. I am a sucker for great Carne Asada, and this is the best. Their margaritas spare nothing too. Try the large mango margarita if you want a wonderful treat. The service is outstanding, very personable, and very friendly. I have a service dog and they even welcomed my dog with open arms. Two Amigos wouldn't even let me in the door with my service dog, what a shame. The other Mexican restaurants in Oneonta better step it up, because El Patrón will put them out...
Read moreNow don't get me wrong the food was good but definitely not what I expected, wanting some cali style Mexican food but not getting it. However once again the food was good on its own accord. Not a huge fan of hamburger meat, I like real carne, and Chile rellenos here are not what you think they are. They use bell pepper instead of pablano and there is not batter and its filled with hamburger meat and sprinkled with shredded cheese now that isnt a bad thing but I would call it stuffed bell pepper instead.
