Toke Sushi Grill — Restaurant in Oneonta

My husband and I love to eat here. We usually just get it to go tho and today. Unfortunately I was short changed 20 bucks out of $100 bill and I guess it’s my fault because I did not count it well enough before I left the register, but either way all I did was walk straight out to my car (right in front of door to the place)and count it back to my husband and it was not all there. It was 🤦‍♀️$20 short and I walked straight back in and I had a hold of it tight because we’re talking about the change from $100 bill for my husband. I know I had my mind on it and I know there was no way possible I lost it, so it had to be there and I waited patiently while they “counted drawer down “ and I was still polite and more so in a shocked knowck me over with a feather kinda way when they called me to tell me because they had to wait so long to count down drawer and I went ahead and left but I really wasn’t thinking about it being a problem because I know it Hass to be there but I guess not🤷‍♀️but I’m certain There’s 20 bucks floating somewhere somebody else got the 20 bucks cause I sure don’t have it. Smh……. (This has given me a bad taste in my mouth now 🫤 so like those people do make sure you always count your chains standing right there in front of them. Do not walk away at all before you know your changes correct because they’re going to keep it...

Horrible service! 20 minute wait for a table on Friday night; sure! All was well there. My daughter and I ordered a roll each, and my husband ordered a spring hibachi chicken and scallops. 45 minutes later, my husband finally got his spring roll. That's right, just the spring roll! A couple that was seated just before us was served, finished their food, and left, all before my husband got his spring roll. 15 minutes later, our rolls and hubby's entree made it to the table. We were out so late with this wait that we cancelled our weekly shopping trip to Walmart (across from Toke!)

Almost 17 dollars for a fusion roll that had a forkfull of seaweed salad in the middle, and absent of the bbq eel (the reason I ordered this roll in the first place, and our little girl's roll ($12) was over-fried, burned, and spongey. She ate it and loved it because she came hungry, but left still hungry even after my husband shared his overload of fried rice (he ordered STEAMED rice and we were charged the extra $1.50 for the fried rice that was snuck into the order) with our girl and myself. Toke, pay attention to your guests and what they come to pay you for rather than fill all the to go orders for people that haven't...

The food is so amazing! Some of the best food I've ever had! However, the managers/owners are so hateful. We loved this place and was a frequent visitor until My debit card was stolen and it was shut down without my knowledge a hour before I went to eat, after my card was declined and I called the bank to figure what was going on, I tried to explain the situation and ask if I could leave my i.d or anything for that matter and run home to get another $15 bc I only had $30 cash on me....they were so rude and hateful and made sure they embarrassed us and then, told us not to worry about bringing the money back just leave ( only being hateful of course) so I didn't! They even heard me on the phone with the bank, I put it on speaker phone standing right there. It's not like this was on purpose! I just can not believe someone could act so harshly to others like that, especially to repeat customers who come in often. Not everyone is a thief and a liar. If I offer to leave my phone and ID which is more expensive than the meal itself, then obviously I'm...
