Bakery Del Bajio — Restaurant in Ontario

This is the only bakery we will drive 25 minutes for their bread. They have a large variety of pan dulce. The bread is continually coming out fresh. We come over at about 4 or 5pm and the turnovers are still warm! Super fresh!!

Do they have turnovers?!?!? A larger variety than most bakeries, including apple, pumpkin, caramel Dulce de Leche, guava, cream cheese, vanilla custard, strawberry, pineapple, and others. The best part is it always fresh and great tasting.

They also serve a variety of tortas, tamales and other Mexican food. Tamales are large, delicious, and have lots of meat. The pork loin and steak tortas are delicious with a strawberry milkshake, our usual order.

We have friends in Bakersfield requesting we bring pan dulce, caramel turnovers for grandma, and tricolor cookies for the kids every time we visit...

I ordered 3 tortas, 1 burrito, a lengua plate with rice and beans. I was truly disappointed..All of the food was FLAVORLESS. I ordered one torta with chorizo, eggs, and potatoes. The chorizo came in big chunks and wasn’t even properly cut down. It was also just as flavorless as the rest of the food was. The tortas were also VERY small and overpriced ($8 plus taxes). I also ordered a strawberry shake that tasted watered down. What was most upsetting is that the woman that took our order and was handling all of the cash was the same woman that made my shake. She did NOT wash her hands before making my shake. She took my cash and immediately went to make my shake without washing her hands first. This place makes me feel very uncomfortable I rarely go to this place and every time I go is always an issue with the lady that is there she is rude, I don't know how she works there with that attitude, I went there to get some chips for my daughter and a soda for my self and the lady rudely told me to move to the other side because I was blocking a lady that she walk out with no problem I told her no because she was very rude!!it look like she hates her job or something but at the end she threw the money on the counter my change and that's when I told her she shouldn't be there with her mess up attitude and I left never again I...
