Let me start by saying Hotel Seville sits in a location that’s about as exciting as watching paint dry in slow motion. But here’s the thing – I wasn’t expecting the French Riviera for the price I paid, so no complaints there.
This place would have been a solid three-star “meh” experience, but then the service swooped in like a superhero in a housekeeping uniform. The staff here actually acts like they’re happy to see you, which is refreshing in a world where hotel front desks often feel like DMV waiting rooms with slightly better lighting.
Special shoutout to Renee (I think that was her name – my memory isn’t what it used to be after 6 AM wake-up calls). She was absolutely lovely and made check-in feel less like a business transaction and more like catching up with a friend who happens to work in hospitality.
Now, about that 6 AM wake-up call… Some random guy decided my door was the perfect target for his morning percussion practice. Before you start drafting angry emails to management, this had absolutely nothing to do with the hotel. Just one of life’s little mysteries, like why airplane peanuts come in bags that require a PhD in engineering to open.
Bottom line: Hotel Seville delivers solid value with service that actually makes you smile. The location won’t win any beauty contests, but the staff will win your hearts. Four stars – would stay again, and hopefully next time without the unsolicited door-knocking...
Read moreDo not recommend. We reserved a double bed/non-smoking room, not one king bed. We get there at almost midnight, already tired, to be told we booked a king size, smoking room. We said that was not what we booked but they refused to budge. We were too tired to fight it further. As soon as we opened the door to the hotel room, we are hit with the smell of cigarettes. It was so bad, the air felt thick. I couldn’t stop coughing. We checked our email confirmation which said we booked a double room but they again refused to accept responsibility and said “that means two people are staying in the room.” We aren’t stupid, we can read but I guess they can’t. We were able to get another room for a fee. I don’t know how much my fiancé paid for the stay but based on the daily rates I see, they charged us almost an entire nights stay to switch to the correct room WE ALREADY PAID FOR.
There were stains on the mattresses, very sketchy people hanging out in the parking lot and balcony (my fiancé was worried enough that he put a trash can in front of the door for an extra way to be alerted of an intruder), you could smell smoke through the walls, the walls were thin so you could hear everyone talking, and to top it off we ended up getting ants. I wouldn’t stay here if it was my only choice. I’ll...
Read moreThe owner seems to be doing everything he can to keep the place good and quality, it's really visible in terms of little but quality breakfast, reception interior and overall room quality. Although price is little on higher side not much complaints on that part as I can understand how difficult it is to run this business but there are some serious service issues if addressed it has a great potential as it's near airport. I have suggestions to offer if owner cares for it, please do train your front desk and reception staff to talk politely, softly and respectfully to customer, on phone and in person, and be attentive when customer is at desk instead of looking into mobile phone and ignoring them. I had first hand experience when I visited last time there was water issue, I am given some compensation for one day and was told for other days will take care when you stay next time. I am staying next time and they said it was already taken care, It was too late 2.00 am and I was really tired so not in a mood to argue but same thing should have been said politely if you don't want to respect those words. Again , I don't think owner has any role to play in how employees behave but it definitely has even better potential the way quality and other maintenance...
